Hello everyone, my name is Leon and I have been doing internet marketing for a little over 5 years. I would say that I am very serious in this business but I still have a lot to learn. I found this site when I was googling
'Best Internet Marketing Forums' and this site was listed as the top 5 internet marketing forums. I have been a member of Forum Digital for 7 years but I never fit in with the community there, WickedFire, oh well, the people there are just nasty so here I am! That's why I decided to join here.

Although I have been doing internet marketing for 5 years, I don't have my own website or company, as I've been earning my income through freelance work like designing websies, programming, SEO for companies and individuals. Recently, I got a new job and I was hired to do this kind of work and I just realized that this is actually a one year project and the company intends to do a start-up fashion e-commerce company. I'm mortified because this is something I've never done before, even though with my years of internet marketing experience, I am still not confident of succeeding. If this project doesn't succeed, I would have to look for another job so this is a kind of do-or-die thing for me.

So I went around googling advice on how to make a start-up e-commerce company successful and I watched a few of Lynn's videos on YouTube and I felt it's something which I can relate to so I decide to come on here to learn from you guys. Is there any advice I can seek from any of you how to make a successful fashion e-commerce start-up company? For anyone who is unsure what I'm doing, it's something like Zalora.

I've decided to make this site my 'e-home' and I would be here to learn and discuss internet marketing techniques with you guys. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Leon. :)

Since you were hired for this specific role, I assume they'll have a list of tasks for you to do, or an outline of projects to achieve. My advice is to just tackle each one individually. Are they also looking to you for ideas & feedback, or creative additions to the project?

Hi Leon. I suggest you ask them what they want to achieve in that e-commerce project, so you know what they are expecting from you. And yes like Lynn said, tackle each task given to you. If there are some tasks that you are not familiar with, then study about it and be confident that you can perfectly accomplish the tasks that you have knowledge of.

simple advice: learning do not stop and do not stop to learn :) but most important is to learn to love your job....
