Is this Twitter Spam?

Hi Folks

Recently I have had @replies on Twitter assuming it was from someone I was following, but since I recently went through my follow list I knew I hadn't seen this person before, but received this message;

When I double checked if i was following them, I wasn't. It is obviously not just for me so therefore not a personal message in any way.

Have I received Twitter Spam?

It is really common lately, I get it at least once a day. So annoying.

Yep - Twitter spam, and since I use TweetDeck, there is an option to block & report as spam all at the same time. ;)

yep. I get quite a few people using @annalaurabrown and then an affiliate url or something else they are trying to get me to pay attention to. So annoying.

Thanks everyone, Thanks Traci I will have to start using Tweet deck again as this type of spam is out of control. I have been using twhirl as it is nice and compact, but limited in functionality.
