Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so sorry if this questions has been posed before but I did a quick search first and nothing came up.

I was just wondering if you guys believe in an all-in-one marketing bible or guide? Are these just gimmicks to make money or do they actually work? I've thought about buying one for a while now as I'm pretty new to this whole world but I'm just not sure if it's worth it. Is any one source going to have a solid enough basis of knowledge that it's economic to not spend hours going through the web searching for the best of everything?

Also, I found this one for free and I was wondering if any of you had ran into it before. Are these what the ones you pay for are like, or do they offer something else? I'm really not looking for any 'quick solution' or 'make money fast' type of deal, I just want to know how to best spend my time! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and this is the one I found for free: http://www.viralnetworkinc.com/white-paper/

Thanks!

Hi Kantera,

I'm not familiar with Viral Network Inc and haven't signed up for their free whitepaper, so I can't give you any feedback on that specifically. That said, starting a business is going to require constant learning - especially online, where things are constantly changing. It's practically impossible to "learn everything upfront" because some things will become outdated by the time you go to implement. I discussed that in this recent post: http://www.clicknewz.com/7921/act-fast/

There are some great guides out there, some of them even step-by-step, but you'll want to add your own creative angles and constantly test & improve based on your own results. One of my favorites at the moment is the Affiliate Survival Guide (http://www.clicknewz.com/7480/affiliate-survival-guide/) which includes a checklist and planning sheets. It's very detailed for the price (only $17) and the same advice I would give myself...

Let us know where you are with your business idea, and any questions you have! :)

Thanks for your reply Lynn, and yes I agree that everything requires constant learning but there is usually a similar backbone structure to any plan that is actually sound. It seems like most people believe there isn't any 'one' guide but rather a number of different ones.

Do you have any that you could suggest from a third party? It's funny, I've found the best advice from people comes from things they've found in another source as they tell you about it because they're excited to share a golden piece of knowledge rather than pushing their own material.

My idea is still in the beginning stages as I like to plan things out and do a lot of the hard work first but I'll keep checking this forum and ask any questions if they come up. Thanks again!

I like the guide I mentioned above, which I reviewed at: Affiliate Survival Guide (http://www.clicknewz.com/7480/affiliate-survival-guide/) , specifically for the step-by-step and planning sheets included. It's a great blueprint for getting started!

I'm also in the process of a live case study on my blog with Vera Raposo, and you can find all of those posts at this link: http://www.clicknewz.com/tag/vera/ They are displayed newest first there, so you'll want to start at the end to get to the beginning. :)
