Opinions on paid surveys?

Anyone have any opinions on paid surveys. Can you actually make money filling out surveys for companies?

You'll be trading a lot of time for very little return (if any).

Considering your level of experience, your time could definitely be used in better ways.

Waste of time really. I mean if you want to do it for fun I guess it's OK but don't let it take you away from working your main business. I personally love surveys (I take them locally, on the phone, etc.) but never did I start doing it for the $ aspect LOL They take a lot of time for very little return so don't let anyone tell you different.

I used to do paid surveys in the past and I would get 5 dollars here, 2 dollars there, etc... and sometimes the occasional free product to test out and respond with my opinions on it.

Like Lynn & Angie already said, it's a big time suck for not a lot of return. I still take surveys from time to time, but only on things that I'm truly interested in. It's one of those random things to do that gets your mind off of stress, you know what I mean?
