I am in the second module of Niche Success Blueprint and the niche I am considering has hardly any search volume in Wordtracker. I play an instrument in a band and the site is about this instrument and is pretty small. I already have a site up with info on playing this instrument and general news about the instrument. I just looked in AW stats and I have had 550 unique visitors in June so far. This is with no promotion whatsoever. Should I go with this which I love very much or go with something with bigger numbers?

Thanks for any advice in advance, I am just getting back into IM after crashing and burning after the Google updates a couple of years ago.

Welcome Doug :)

The numbers you see in WordTracker are relative. There may be other angles you haven't considered researching, such as people looking for what you offer in different ways, or creative ways to reach people that would be interested in your topic if they found you.

I'd have to know the instrument/topic to look at it with you, but it's totally okay to pick a "tight niche" that is highly targeted to a very specific audience. Especially if this is something you're really passionate and/or knowledgeable about. Consider creative ways you can go very deep and very wide with your topic. I'm happy to brainstorm if you like. I do have a private group if you prefer not to brainstorm publicly.

On your 550 unique visitors so far this month, what are the sources of traffic?

Thank you for your reply. I will probably join the private group and post about it over there.
