How to charge for webinars

I'm planning a webinar that I will be charging for and getting stuck in figuring out what tools to use. I'm looking at gotomeeting/webinar and meetingburner. But how do I integrate with a payment system such as paypal? I also will need to pay affiliates. Thanks for any help on which tools to look at.

First, do you know which payment processor / affiliate management system you're going to use? ClickBank is popular, but I chose JVZoo and here are the reasons for that: http://www.clicknewz.com/8565/clickbank-vs-jvzoo/ You'll want to set up a sales page so people can purchase access, which is where you'll put your order button. Once they order, you'll send them to a page where they can register for the event/webinar (opt-in to the event notification list) OR you'll want to integrate your payments into your mailing list manager to automatically send the customer follow-up information.

Thanks for suggesting JVZoo - I should check them out. Right now I'm just using standard Paypal but would like to "graduate" to something more sophisticated. I ended up doing the first approach you suggested. I'm using MeetingBurner because they have an integration with aWeber. I did get pretty far with eJunkie as both a shopping cart and affiliate manager, but as an offsite solution but I wasn't sure if it would handle the case someone coming to a different page of the site and the affiliate getting credit if they eventually purchased - so I ended up using WPAffiliate.

You can just use a PayPal checkout, and that's fine - but if you want to recruit affiliates to help you promote your webinar or event (or digital product of any kind) you'll need a system like JVzoo or ClickBank, and of course eJunkie is a similar platform. I outlined the reasons I chose JVzoo in the link I shared above, but one of the main perks is being able to offer a 2nd Tier or a higher payout to certain JV partners.
