Hi Cheri and Ron,

This is a good place to start. You'll find a great group here - very friendly and resourceful. I have not personally reviewed Wealthy Affiliate, so I can't advise you either way on that. If you read this page (http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.com/guides.htm) it will give you a very good idea of what I do and the methods I use to do it.

I'm assuming you don't have a website or domain name yet, right?

This is most definitely a great place to learn!

Let this be your daily mantra: Learn, DO, Repeat

Pay special attention to that second one, you'll be very glad you did!!

Where does one begin to learn Internet Marketing?

Hi Cheri & Ron:

As Lynn stated and I agree, this is an excellent place to learn. Also, there are other experienced members here who have excellent, "FREE" Internet marketing resources that you can learn from as well, including yours truly. :)

And no, we do not have a website or domain yet.

I would start with http://www.seofaststart.com

While this is a (free) guide on SEO, it actually teaches you how to research your market & keywords, and set up a website correctly - including site structure and content development. A VERY good starting point.

When you get ready to set up a website/blog, I have a coupon code for HostGator which is my host. Use the coupon code "wordpress" to get your first month for a penny: http://www.clicknewz.com/hostgator.htm

When you're ready to set up the site or blog, let us know - I have resources and checklists, and we can brainstorm options with you.

It's also a good place to revisit, when your feeling lost.

Welcome Cheri and Ron. You are definitely in great company with SSWT. You will find people here who are sincere, willing to share lots of great information and the "real deal".

There is amazing money to be made with Internet Marketing, but a word of caution; avoid the hype and get rich quick come ons.

Those who do well do so based on a long term vision.

It's great to have you here.
