Ok so I have started by business. We have our website, a Facebook and twitter... but not followers yet..
I am starting to blog and create content but it does no good if its not seen by anybody....
I was hoping that you all could give me some specific things to do just to initially gain some traffic.

heres a few of the things that I am guessing I should do, but perhaps you could clarify...?

- I made a personal Facebook page which is left blank so that I could make the business page. Am I supposed to pay attention to my personal page and start finding my real life friends and acquaintances on here to drive them to my business page?

- In twitter I was told I should look at people who follow my competitors and start favouriting there comments and they will probably follow me... Is this correct?

- When should I begin things like google adwords and Facebook ads? Should I already have some good content?

anyways any and all help would be so appreciated!

Here are some of Lynn's posts that might help guide you in the right direction.

Social Media Marketing Q & A (http://www.clicknewz.com/13250/social-media-marketing/)

Increase Blog Traffic -FAST (http://www.clicknewz.com/2303/increase-blog-traffic/) (she mentions her Niche Success Blueprint in there and it's AWESOME)

Should you choose to join her private brainstorming group (http://www.clicknewz.com/members/payments.php), which I highly recommend you would get all her products free. Having her on your side makes the learning curve much less daunting!

As for the Facebook page, yes start building that out and start sharing your blog posts on it, look for other people's content in your niche to share and just start posting. You can find other pages to follow and comment AS your page. Don't spam or anything just dig in the conversations.

Same on Twitter, start looking for hashtags that might be in your niche and add to conversation. Share your content there, other people's content and connect with others in your niche. Grow organically, don't pay for followers or any of that junk. Lynn has another product called Social Marketing Results and it's SO helpful. You would get that free in her group or you can find it here (http://socialmarketingresults.com/).

Hope this helps.

When you first start a business or create a site/blog it DOES feel like you're talking to yourself - both on your blog and on your social channels. That's okay! When people come to check out your profiles or your blog, they need to find content there to LIKE... to help them decide whether they should follow you or not. So make sure you're updating regularly across the web. ;-)

Make good use of keywords and hashtags, and get involved in relevant discussions across the web. You can switch to act AS your Facebook Page, and interact with other Pages in your niche. Not to spam, but to join in the discussions where your target market is actively participating.

Use search features on Pinterest and Twitter to find things to respond to that are relevant to your topic as well. You just have to dive in and post interesting content and join the discussions already happening around the web.

The most common way to increase traffic initially is

Forum Posting
Social Media
Blogging

If you have a limited budget, You can try to advertise by CPM, just to increase views of your sites.

Some networks and ad exchanges allowed $50 for a test.

To get Twitter followers the best way is to start to follow a lot of people. In a little time you'll get many of them.
