Using Magazine Images

I want to build a blog around commenting on magazine articles. Can I get away with posting an image from the magazine article (giving credit to the magazine just below the image and linking to the article) in my blog post? The blog post will be about that article.

Nope you would have to get permission from the magazine and most won't allow it. I would use a stock image to be safe. Not sure what you mean about building a blog around commenting.

No, as said before you can't use their images. But you can use a caption of the entire online magazine page where the article appears and post it on your own article.
