I moved the thread for you. You can post a new thread anytime in the Main Internet Marketing Forum.

What is WHM? Is that your domain registrar?

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to update your nameservers, renew your domain names, or something else?

What is WHM?

Most likely, WHM is Web Host Manager.

Sona Tanna, Did you sign up for reseller hosting? Usually you only get WHM with reseller hosting.

Hi Lynn

Thats great. Such a prompt reply.

WHM is web hosting Manager as the the hosting company just informed me.I have got the domain from the hosting company and i want to access my cpanel for installing of WP blog . But to do that we must have access to the cpanel.
What he has just informed me to have access to the cpanel i must use the WHM and its my job to carry out this procedure so that i can have access to the cpanel.

I find this stange since i am a newbie and have joined Traci on blogging ecourse and trying out my hands on wp blogging by seeing her videos

Did you want to be reselling hosting to others? If not, you should cancel the resellers account and setup a regular hosting account.

Hello
You did not need to get the resellers account! But, since you have one, they should have sent you an email to access that, generally it would be http://yourdomain.com:2086 to get there.

Once there, you need to first create hosting packages, but clicking Add Packages and Name your package, select the amount of server storage space and bandwidth, etc... and save it.

Then you need to setup an account for yourself, click Create a New Account and enter in your domain name, choose the package you just created and follow, make sure you write down your password!!! and follow the on screen prompts and click create. If you enter an email address, it should email you these details (minus the password - thus why you need to write it down), or just print out the screen - which is what I do).

Now you can log into your newly created account:

http://yourdomain.com/cpanel with the username and password you just setup in the WHM.

Hi

But how do i get about doing this

Once there, you need to first create hosting packages, but clicking Add Packages and Name your package, select the amount of server storage space and bandwidth, etc... and save it. and how much space do you think i would require looking at the following
blog http://natural-breast-enhancers.net since this was the first which i had outsourced to a third party to get it done for me

Honestly - set it at whatever you want, since you control everything. If you need more, you can log into the WHM and adjust your package to increase the amounts. ;)

I start my wordpress accounts in WHM with 500M.

One reason that I suggested you see about switching from a reseller's account to a basic hosting account is that you are just starting out. The reseller's account adds one more layer of complexity in an already strange world.

Traci has the right steps for you to setup a hosting account within your reseller's account. You should have received an email from your hosting provider with information on how to access WHM. After that, follow Traci's directions.

I would recommend HostGator (http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml). Pick either the "Hatchling" or "Baby" plan, depending on your finances. The benefit of the "Baby" plan is that you can have more than one domain.

Yep, HostGator and the Baby Gator package is what I would recommend.

I agree with the HostGator recommendation. Use the coupon code: "wordpress" when you sign up to get your first month for only a penny :)

Can anyone guide me where can i get good themes on hypertension and thyroid??

I would search for heart or cardiac related WordPress themes, as those would fit well with hypertension, and a general 'health' theme or anything showing the neck would work for a 'thyroid' niche.

You find the theme search within your WordPress Dashboard: log into your /wp-admin

In the left navigation bar, go to: Appearance > Add New Themes > and on this page you will see two sections:

1. a search field, where you can enter in search parameter keywords or tags for the type of theme you want (ex.: red, 2 column)

2. a feature filter, which is basically like a super search feature where you check boxes of features you want in your theme and then click the Find Themes button and it will pull up any search results that match the boxes you checked.

After the results for either option above are shown, you'll see a Preview and an Install link for each theme. Click Preview to well... preview that theme; click Install to install it. Pretty straight-forward. :)

Intitle? I'm not sure exactly what you're meaning here. Can you clarify. Thanks.

Hi Traci
For my first domain there did provide me with the username and password and so i could have access to my cpanel. But for the second i just followed and and the company says i have to do it on my own and they refuse to change my account as suggested by Miksmind above so i am stuck. They say i have got access to my cpanel for the first domain and hence you should do all the work for the second one.I would like to ask is there any relation between the first and the second and if so how do i go about have access to my cpanel for my second domain

Are you referring to a regular HostGator account setup; or domains setup through the reseller WHM?

cpanel
If it's through a regular HostGator account, then you need to add the second domain onto your hosting account through the AddOn Domains icon within the cpanel for your main hosted domain (follow the steps given on that screen). You will only have one cpanel in which to access all of your domains. You just log into that one - then will have access to all domains.

Once you've added on the new domain, following the steps given under the AddOn Domains icon, click the File Manager > click public_html > then you will see a yellow folder with the name of the domain you just setup, click that folder to access any/all files for that domain. It's the same process to access addon domains via FTP; log in under the main account hosted with HostGator with that username/password, then click the folder for the addon domain to access the files for that domain.

WHM
If this is a reseller account, log into your WHM control panel and just setup a new account for the new domain and then it will have it's own separate cpanel.

Hi Traci

I have just signed up with Hostgator. While signing it asked me for my domain and i mentioned the same . However i have got one more domain name for which i want the same on Hostgator. Guide me how and what i do for the same.
Further i have got a blog for which the domain has expired with the existing hosting company. Can i transfer the same to Hostgator or not under such circumstances.

The easiest way is to open the post, copy the content, create a new page, paste the content.
