'Affiliate Products: Where do I start?

So I'm back, have been reading through the threads and still not sure of the format. Guess you just ask questions and hope to get a response? :) Well here goes...

As mentioned in my intro. thread, I want to be the go-to person when it comes to plus-size business. The thing is, I don't want to sell clothes to my audience. I prefer to give them resources that will help them grow their business. As you can imagine, not a lot of info. products out there are geared specifically towards plus-size businesses. So the opportunity is great for me to create my own info. products and sell them. It seems like reports are the way to go, so I'll create a 7 Deadling Mistakes Entrepreneurs in the Plus Size Industry make & how to avoid it. It just seems like something I should give away and not sell. What do you think?

I have about 7 mini reports I give away to lead into selling my bigger tutorial packages. Free reports are a good way to get people on your list, and then you can try selling other stuff to them over time.

If you are going to write reports that have quite a few pages, I would try selling them. All depends on which direction your own business is going to go.

Thanks Melanie, that "other stuff" to sell to them is what I'm trying to figure out, I'm thinking it's probably best to do joint ventures with others and co-create reports and/or info. products. I have 3 lined up for the remainder of the year so hopefully they work out.

The question to answer first is: What does your target market need most? And for the sake of those of us here that don't know - and want to help you - how do plus-size entrepreneurs differ from any other entrepreneur. Meaning what are their plus-size specific needs/wants?

Lynn has given me advice on tweaking my blog, and I have been going through this I am thinking of why am I wasting my time with this?.

What can I sell from it ?, I originally created it for my own interests so what affiliate products could I go with, on such what appeared to me to be a fairly obscure Niche.

Until I listened to a call yesterday and blow me down there is a dude selling Charcoal underwear. So it just goes to show opportunities exist you just got to find em.
