I was about ready to tell everyone I could to stay away from Clickbank because it has just been so hard for me to get the quota they want of 5 credit cards and paypal as well.

The thing is, although I have only gotten a few sales in from about 5 people, they are recurring monthly commissions that were starting to add up. Seeing as things have been slow for me lately, I could use the money.

I decided to email customer support and explain a few things to them. I told them that due to the fact that most people use paypal and not a credit card now, it could be forever before I ever got the CDR taken care of.

In the meantime, my money was piling up and I could use it. So, if they wanted me to continue trying my best to work with them, make money and tell all my friends and business associates how great they are, they should probably make an arrangement with me to release my funds.

And THEY DID. lol. Years ago before I got into this online biz stuff, I would never have had the confidence or guts to send that email. Now I figured I have nothing to lose. It was my money, I earned it, why should they keep it just because some other people were jerks and tried to scam them.

I guess they agreed.

You never know what you can do until you try. You really have nothing to lose because you more than likely will not end up worse off than where you are right now.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone else have a similar experience?

Glad to hear that they can make good business decisions at Clickbank. Lynn has always counseled us to contact affiliate programs directly when we were not approved or to speed up the approval process.

I've always lived by the motto: It never hurts to ask. All they can say is "no" and the worst that can happen is you are right where you started.

Great story - and good for Clickbank!

I've always been super pleased with Clickbank's service and support. They were VERY patient me when I first started. Anytime I've had an issue, they've helped in a timely manner. In fact, once - within one hour - they even shut down a vendor when it was obvious he had stolen my product.

I believe you can set up a merchant type account with Paypal and they will do all the credit card processing for you. They do charge a %fee for it, but if you are going to have an online business, you need to offer payment by credit card.

Kayla,

That is great to hear how fast they were on the ball for getting after the vendor who stole your product. It those types of people that make me think twice about listing my own products in places like Clickbank. Now that I know they have such good service, I feel that the fees I would pay are well deserved and a good investment. I may be posting my stuff there shortly.

To clarify, is it $50 for one time or $50 for each product you want to list?

Tom, I think she is acting as an affiiate in this situation not selling her own product. No shopping cart required.

I think you can have up to 50, but the hoplink only directs to one product. That means you can have one account with 50 products, but your affiliates will send customers to only one.

There is software - EasyClickmate (sold through CB, so get a hoplink!) is my favorite - that allows affiliates to link directly to a product.

If you want to have additional accounts, you can purchase them for $35.
