Hi Folks
Just a quickie for today ... am I making a mistake using WP Pretty Links plugin to cloak my affiliate links?
Cheers

I would just test the links to make sure they work so that you are getting credit for the sale - this is easy with Clickbank, but may not be possible with other affiliate networks.

Thanks G-A-G ;)
I have done that and my clicks show up but I have clients that say they clicked through and there is no record :(
Think I might just use the raw links, to be sure.

I have been using the free version and haven't noticed any problems so far. In fact, I notice that Google indexes the links as a page on my site so it appears as a keyword rich page but, of course, if someone clicked it from Google it goes through to the affiliate site and registers as traffic from me.

Thanks Lynn. Saw your tweet and headed over to comment and then realised I'd forgotten to rejoin when you set up the new forums.

I've been using the free version as well with no problems. Lisa, I don't know if you noticed that you can set the link to be no follow if you want. There's an Options link which opens a few additional setting when you create a link. You can default those settings in the Pretty Links Options section as well.

Thanks Simon, no I hadn't seen that.
