When I post a series should I title the posts in a way to connect them? I can't remember how you do yours, Lynn, and trying to keep with SEO and doing a series is a bit mind boggling. Do you just reference the original post, etc?

Thanks for feedback!

Hi Julie Anna,

Writing a topical series on your blog or website is a great idea for two reasons. First, readers really seem to like them. It gives them a reason to subscribe and stay tuned to hear the next piece of the series or case study.

Second, because it's a great way to get that coveted double listing in the Google search results.

You simply create two posts or pages that are both optimized for the same keyword phrase. I always interlink them for that added internal link juice. As an example, see my double listing in the first two spots for the search "bans review":

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=bans+review

(I desperately need to update that review, but the double listing is the example here)

Another example:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=clicknewz+web+content+development

Also holding 1 & 2 spots, but I "fixed" the search by adding clicknewz to the query just to show you another double listing.

Thank you, Lynn. I knew you had examples but I didn't want to dig them up. Thanks for the links.

I have a silly question. Can you optimize for two keyword phrases? For instance, my title may be Think and Grow Rich Pt 2 Desire to Work Online. Key word phrases can be either Think and Grow Rich or Work Online.

Yes, that's the point actually - as you want a double listing in the results for the one keyword phrase.
