I searched "contact form" in the plugins section and received I have no idea how many potential candidates. Anyone using a "Contact Form" plugin for wordpress want to share with me the one they chose and why.

I would appreciate it.

I went through a few losers before finding one I liked. Easy Contact (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-contact/) works well for me. It's formatting is neat and it includes self-confirmation checkbox. Another one that worked OK is Tiny Contact Form (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tiny-contact-form/). It's no-frills, but does the job.

How does is work with WordPress 2.8.4? I started to install it and it told me it had not been tested with my version of WordPress (2.8.4). Makes me a little nervous!

I prefer this one: http://www.toppa.com/deko-boko-wordpress-plugin/

And couple it with ReCAPTCHA technology: http://www.blaenkdenum.com/wp-recaptcha/

Here's what it looks like: http://renaemcalister.com/contact/

I use the Dagon Design Form Mailer (http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/secure-form-mailer-plugin-for-wordpress/) plugin, it has CAPTCHA.

Nelson, you'll often get a "warning" like that and speaking personally it does not stop me installing the plugin.

If it does not work you just deactivate it - there is rarely a problem. I use contact form 7 with no probs and I never have an up to date wordpress installation and that usually allows plugin developers time to catch up!

I like Contact Form 7 and Cforms II. Both have CAPTCHA, and CF7 integrates beautifully with Akismet if you dont' want to use CAPTCHA.

I'm still using WP 2.7.1 with Contact Form and I haven't tried it with the latest WP version. It sounds like Randy and Traci have some interesting options, though. The Captcha options are good to have, I suppose, but, personally, I wouldn't start using one unless automated messages become a problem. I like to keep things as simple as possible for people.
