I just realized that my domain email address angie@losingitandlovingit.com is not working. I don't understand why and to be honest it's been so long ago that I set it up, I don't recall where I set up the forward to one of my email addresses. Emabarassing:p

I know it was explained to me to how to do it all over on the old forums but I tried searching and nothing is coming up for me.

Any guidance would be helpful! Thanks

The email address would have set up through cpanel at your web host. It is web mail. Any forwarding would have been set up through the web mail. Horde and Squirrelmail are two of the three at HostGator. It is always a good idea to print out the instructions for setting up, forwarding, etc. You might try contacting support at your web host.

You where smart to do forwarding. Mine(nar321ATrobertnelsononline.com)usually has several thousand in it before I remember to check it mostly the usual SPAM. I have sent you a test email at your domain address . Which if you receive it will eliminate any receiving problems, leaving only a sending problem(sometimes the easiest solution is to delete the existing email address and set up a new email address)

Angie, did you ever consider setting up a new email address at gmail and having all the email for all your sites go there? Works well for me, and I've set up files (labels) for each site to keep everything separate, and set up one entire folder for affiliate acceptance letters.

It's also VERY easy to access when I'm away from home and on my itouch.

Thanks Robert, I think that is where my issue is but darn I thought it just forwarded to the email address that I set up and nothing else.

Jeanette,
I have gmail but I'm not sure what you mean about having all site emails going there.

I have to figure this current issue out though because it's just odd that it was working and now suddenly nothing is coming through to the email account I specified.

Angie, I have a hard time explaining it, but I have email from four domains forwarded to my one email address. Its set up like one parent account, say Jeanette@gmaiil.com. Then I told gmal to grab all the emails sent to j@mywebsite1.com and j@mywesite2.com and so forth to Jeanette@gmail.com

there are some advantages:

easy to access from wherever
all my site email shows up in one place but can be sorted easily
canset up filters to automatically put the emails in the right folder
outgoing emails and replies all go from the parrent email but show an address of j@mywebsite1.com.

It works very well for getting emailsfrom multiple sites without checking multiple email boxe but still looks professional.

I do what Jeanette does.
I have all my web site emails auto forward to my main gmail account.
this way it looks official to have name@website.com as the email, yet I go to Cpanel and set it to autoforward to me@gmail.com. I do this for about 20 email addresses.

Jeanette how do I set up folders in gmail?

Get the nice techie people at your hosting company on the phone - that's what I do!! If you have a good host they'll sort it out very fast.

If you go to cpanel > mail > I am pretty sure it will tell you where you have it forwarded to. At least you can update it to forward where you want. If you would like help with any techie stuff or Cpanel you can call me or tweet me and I will walk you through it.

Thanks guys!

Clay, I went in to mail at cpanel and it still shows the forward I originally set up but I tested it yesterday and it's not working. Tried sending an email to that address and get the error. I'll have hubs look in cpanel and see if he can figure it out.

If we can't get it then I'll definitely be in touch, thanks for the offer.

Clay, if I recall properly, gmail calls them labels rather than files. Who knows why. You can set up rules and other outlook-like tools. You are limited to about six labels, I think.

Let me know if I can help at all and I'll scoot over to gmail and refresh my memory a bit.
