Sona,

I am not really sure I am understanding your question. Are you selling a product from clickbank or is it your product you are trying to sell thru clickbank?

If it is a product from clickbank you are selling, where do you want to put the links. Products on clickbank usually give you the code that you need to embed on your site.

Just need a little more info so I can be of some help. :)

Clickbank should provide you with tracking stats; so what tracking function are you wanting to add that they do not already provide?

You would not add that to an affiliate link; I would suggest putting Google analytics on your site to track stats such as that.

You place Google Analytics just before the closing body tag </body > on your web site. If you're using WordPress, this tag is usually found in the footer.php file for the theme you're using.

Yes, you can use a plugin for Google Analytics; or you can manually add the code before the </body> tag in the theme you're using.

Dear

Yes, I'll try. This is a very good question, and one which ClickBank very well supports.

Let's say that the "default" ClickBank affiliate link that you have been assigned is:
http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net. Now, if you have several webpages where you use this exact same link, you will never know WHICH of the pages that generated the sale.

But by adding a special tracking ID (or TID) to the end of the affiliate link, ClickBank will list that ID in their reports, enabling you to see which page the sale came from.

The syntax is as follows: http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net?tid=zzzzz.

So, for example, if you have three webpages, all poining to the same affiliate landing page, you may use these links:

On page 1: http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net?tid=webpage1
On page 2: http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net?tid=webpage2
On page 3: http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net?tid=webpage3

More info is at https://www.clickbank.com/affiliate_tools.html, under the header called "5. Track My Campaign".

Hope this helps,
Bo

Hi Sona,

Great!

In theory, of course, you COULD use them also as anchor texts to make them visible to click on. But I am not sure that it would serve any purpose. And some article sites may object to having links directly to a clickbank site, whether in anchor texts or not. So as for anchor texts with clickbank links, I would not recomend it.

Also, in terms of the clickbank links themselves, I would strongly suggest that you think about the future. Clickbank vendors may come and go, and their products may come and go too. The problem is that if you get a good article up on, for example, ezinearticles.com, then it may stay there for years. But then one day the vendor stops marketing his product. And if you have a direct link from your article to the vendor's landing page, then your article stops being effective.

So I would STRONGLY suggest that you set up a mini-site (if not a complete site) which REDIRECTS the link from your article's resource box to the clickbank page. Something like this:

A. In your article on cat training tips you can have a resource box with a link to YOUR (mini-) website called www.myminisite.com. The exact link is poiniting to the page http://www.myminisite.com/clickbank_cattrainingtipsproduct.html (or .php).

B. in the code on the clickbank_cattrainingtipsproduct.html (or .php) page you write a few simple lines of REDIRECT code, which takes the user to the page for the clickbank hoplink.

The beauty of this solution is that your article never cedes to be productive, because you can always change the exact clickbank hoplink on the redirect page on your minisite, redirecting it to another, similar product that is still possible to buy for the visitor.

Hoping this helps...have a great day!
Bo
