Good morning!

I just posted the 1st part of the October update the 90-Day Content Marketing Challenge. (Numbers today, analysis tomorrow).

If you plan on using (or already use) content as the primary means to promote your online business - this live case study might be of interest to you.

Here is the direct link: http://www.webcopyresults.com/2009/11/90-day-content-marketing-challenge-october-results/

October didn't see the same growth in traffic as September, but there were a lot of other positive developments/trends that have started to emerge. What isn't covered today will be in tomorrow's post.

Thanks!

Thank you, Angie - I appreciate the feedback!

Today's post talks about some of the non-stat related advances made over the last 60 days. Good stuff - but lots and lots of work left to do!

Encouraging numbers, those.

Shows the value and impact of working a plan - and sticking with
consistent actions.

Chet Holmes is fond of saying that power marketing is NOT doing
800 different things once - but doing EIGHT things 100 times each!

I'll share some data from my own content marketing efforts for my
blog in a few weeks, when the results of what I'm doing kick in.
And please share more details on your blog when you have time,
Trish. It's always fun to model success and repeat what's working!

All success

Thank you, Dr. Mani - I appreciate your feedback. I will post a final wrap-up on results the end of November - if nothing else, it is exiting to see the number of pages and posts go up each day! :)

Sometimes the going seems slow - but I don't think we'll ever regret sitting down and actually creating the content and getting it out there - especially once it reaches that critical mass where things start to really click.

I am interested to see your results, as well - so please do come back and share them here when you get a chance!

Trish

PS I'm curious how traffic will be the last week of the month due to Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season. Anyone have any experience on what to expect?

I will, Trish.

As for "holiday traffic", unless you have a very geo-centric
website, traffic (and sales) may not change much over
seasons - as the "rest of the world" is a big place :)

Three or four years ago, contrary to popular wisdom, I sent
out an affiliate promotion on Thanksgiving weekend, and even
used the holiday as a 'hook' for the special. It ended up
out-performing most other promotions over the year!

I've also read reports that during recessionary times, you
can expect MORE traffic as folks spend less on recreational
activity outdoors - and watch more TV (or these days, Internet)

:)

All success
