My wife just sent this to me and I wanted to share it with you. I thought it was very appropriate for those of us who keep trying to succeed with our websites and whatever it is we do to generate an income, but just haven't seemed to make it yet. Very encouraging.

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.
I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.
I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It’s OK to stumble… I will get up. It’s OK to fail… I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.

You're welcome, Stephen.
You know, it's funny how sometimes we forget this simple wisdom. At least I know I do. I've read things like this over and over, but seem to fall back into the circular thinking which leads to nowhere. It's probably a good idea to print this out and set it next to my computer so I'm reminded of it more often. :)

Wow - thanks so much, Mark - I was just completely falling in the trash heap!!!!
There is no reason at all for me to be in the trash can!
Wow - forgot that for a few minutes. Thank you.

I loved the article. "Today I will make a difference." Controlling the thoughts might seem easy but there are a lot of things that we sometimes worry about. I read this somewhere and from then on I seemed to have adopted the principle "Thoughts become things. Choose the good ones."

Thank you for sharing Mark! Very encouraging. Now if you can compress it down to 120characters it could go viral on Twitter.

Thanks for sharing this Mark.
We all need a little boost every once in a while. This puts things in good perspective. We all have free will to choose how to look at things. This is a very positive way!
You give a lot of helpful advice and though I don't always comment on things I do read through the posts and this one definitely has helped me today. I appreciate this and your other replies. I look forward to reading more of your insights.
Blessings,
Christine

Mark - you are a gem for sharing this. I think too often (at least for me) our pride gets in the way of openly admitting that we are struggling. We somehow feel less of a Marketer than those around us when we realize our struggle.
But truth be told - we are made better Marketers and people when we fight for our dreams. We learn the truth of the old maxim: "You are what you fight for."
I'm better because of my struggle. I'm better because I've developed patience, perseverance and power in the fight for what I believe and desire.
And I'm better because there are people in this community like you who are willing to share from their heart.
Thank you Mark
Frank:)

Thanks for that, Frank, and thanks to others who have responded accordingly.
It has been a very personal struggle these past few months looking for a day job, but also trying to focus on building an online income. So it's very encouraging to hear everyone's positive thoughts and know that we're all dealing with challenges. :)

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. It has been said, "We often do not realize how precious something is until it is taken away." We have 24 hours to make today the best day we can. The choice is ours.
