If you had an expertise in nothing, how would you build a money making website?

I'd make an ecommerce or affiliate store based around products, like Bobble heads or Klingon Swords - as others have in this group. Oh wait. I already have! ;)

I think you are cutting yourself short - you have to know about something... it doesn't have to be internet marketing or that sort of thing. What do you enjoy or have experience in? Guitar playing, mechanics, dating, woodworking, you have to have interest in some subject... Have a little brainstorming session on things that you either know or are interested in and then do some keyword research to determine if others search for those topics and go from there.

Yes, you might be confusing "expertise" with "interests." Look for things you are interested in that lots of other people are interested in too, so there's a market.
