Hello all
I'm confused on different accounts in twitter. Do you set up a new account for each user name? can you use your first account and have different user names in it?
Thanks for the help again all

Jerry,

Each user name you have in twitter requires it's own account.
Then it's just a matter of monitoring multiple user accounts from one place.
I've gone to www.hootsuite.com for that lately because it's web-based, instead of desktop.

Thanks LaShae
I was confused about that. I'll have to start making some new accounts.
Thanks so much for the help

Each new Twitter account you setup, also needs it own unique email address. So I use gmail accounts for that in most cases. To keep up with several accounts I primarily use TweetDeck, but have also used Seesmic Desktop and PeopleBrowsr.com (which is also web based, like HootSuite).

Thanks traci for the information seems there is always something new to learn. One more question. Do you have to make different gmail accounts or can you have more than one from your main account?
Sorry for so many questions.
Thanks again

Yes set up multiple gmail accounts and then have them forwarded to your main account in advanced options. I use seperate gmail accounts for each twitter account. They all forward to one account.

Huh, I use Gmail aliases and filters instead for my personal and my IMing account. For those who dunno what I mean: aliases = youremailid+alias@gmail.com
