Hi All,

Does it make a difference if your links are coming off your home page or individual pages?

If I’m splitting my post with “Read the rest of this entry” should I be concerned with having the links/anchor text only after the split?

Are thinking of splitting each post permalink page "in half" or is it just on your homepage that you will split the posts shown there?

Just on the home page - snippet on home page with "read more" leading them to specific page/post.

In that case I wouldn't worry about if the keywords are before or after the split since it's the post page itself you want to have ranked for a certain keyword and not your homepage.

Your homepage will by nature be dynamic and not focused specifically on one single keyword.

If you want to add a bit more keyword focus to your post pages then see if you can find a plugin that replaces the standard generic "read more" with something like "read more of <title of your post>"
