I've never started a thread here touting my own articles, or my own website. I feel that it's inappropiate to self-promote yourself in that fashion. However, I'm making an exception in this case, because I've written an article in which I've compiled an outstanding list of Twitter tools that I'm extremely proud of. The article is titled, 32 Spectacularly Useful Twitter Tools.
As you can imagine, with thousands of Twitter tools on the market, it was quite a feat narrowing it down to just 32. I went back and forth with my selections, several times. But I'm extremely pleased with the final result.
I'm not going to provide a direct link to the article, because I'm really not comfortable doing that in this forum. But anyone who's interested can read the article at the PromotionWorld (http://promotionworld.com)website. It will be featured on their home page for the next 7 days. Enjoy!

Very good article, David! I'm saving this for reference when I get to the Twitter portion of my marketing strategy for my sites.
Thank you!!!

Good list, David. I have Tweetdeck running in the background on my computer. The latest version has some very nice features. On my iPhone however I use Tweetie most of the time (over Tweetdeck for the iPhone). I'm currently testing Tweetie 2.0 but the jury is still out.

Jeremy, thank you! Feedback like that is one of the reasons I write articles in the first place. Just having one or two people tell you how much they appreciate what you write makes it all worthwhile.

Hey, what a helpful list. ;) Previously, I wasn't too sure if I was going to use "Wickett Twitter" but now, that plugin is definitely a must! :)

Good, I'm glad my list was helpful to you. It's very gratifying to hear that.

What helped me overcome a natural reluctance to self-promote
was when I heard my mentor Jay Abraham put it this way:
"If you were a real estate agent, and your friend was going to
do a deal you KNEW wasn't good, that you could do better for him,
wouldn't you let him know?
When you have more value to add to other people's lives, you have
an OBLIGATION to let them know about it!"
From the reactions here (and mine: "Thank you for sharing that
awesome list!"), you've seen how your "self-promotion" helps so
many.
Hope this encourages you to "self-promote" more often, David :)
All success
Dr.Mani
P.S. - Jay also said something very profound:
"The most selfish thing you can ever do is to be selfless!"
Think about it :)

What helped me overcome a natural reluctance to self-promote...
Dr. Mani, I can assure you, I have no such reluctance. I have absolutely no problem tooting my own horn, and do so on a daily basis. I was only reluctant to self-promote at this particular forum, because blatant self-promotion is not a common practice here among members, like it is in some other forums.
That's a good thing, in my opinion, and I don't intend to make it a habit here - just on those rare occassions when I have something to share that I think will benefit the members.
Anyway, thank you for your kind words about my article! I'm glad you and everyone else who responded to this thread enjoyed it.
