Interesting indeed. Google is going to be integrating more live social media updates into their search results. Good time to make sure you're on Twitter and Facebook ;)

This is great news for those who have integrated Social Marketing into their overall business model. A tweet here, a post there, another tweet here with key words and presto!

It's super fast too - indexing and showing tweets within minutes :)

I got really excited when I read about the social media update integration into Google & Bing search. SEO is my main method and I LOVE social media - so the combination just brings out tons of potential!!

Going to do a few tests and play around with it a bit ;)

According to this NYT article (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/08/technology/companies/08google.html?_r=2&hpw) yesterday, Google is going start updating Twitter, Facebook and MySpace entries ever second. Apparently waiting "minutes" was too slow.

I might be too late to this thread to get an answer, but, if you have "protected" Tweets, I'm assuming that they won't come up in Google's real time results?

Is that correct?

I just tested one - showed up in less than 30 seconds. Probably took me longer to go look than it did for them to post it lol. Definitely fast!

You tested a protected Tweet and it showed up that fast?
