View Full Version : Lazy Marketers Are Not Your Competition

Thank god for lazy marketers. They don't want to work for success, they want instant gratification. For example, instead of concentrating on building a website that has the kind of high-quality content that other high-quality websites will want to link to, and that will attract plenty of visitors, lazy marketers try to "game" the system. They use blackhat SEO techniques that will eventually get their websites either penalized or banned by Google.

So you really don't have to worry about them in the long-term. They'll be long gone.

Lazy marketers participate in useless traffic exchange programs and linkfarms. They pay people to comment on their blogs. They will do anything, and everything except put in the necessary effort that's required to produce quality content that other websites will want to link to naturally.

Lazy marketers want to participate in article marketing, but instead of putting in the hard work that's required by constantly creating unique, new content, lazy marketers buy article spinning software to create different versions of the same crappy article.

There is one great thing about lazy marketers, however. You don't have to worry about them. They are not your competition. They're too lazy to compete, so eventually, they'll make themselves irrelevant.

I chuckled a little as I read your post.

Thanks, Maggie. I have to admit, I too was chuckling a little, as I read your response - specifically, your choice of words. I said to myself, "I bet she's British."

Are you British, Maggie?

Very well said, David. Definitely brings to light that white-hat marketing is the way to make your business profit and succeed. :)

Shel, as always, I thank you. :)

Holy shucks... so this explains why I couldn't see the point about "article-generating" software. I mean... I didn't like the concept but I couldn't address the nagging thought in my head and heart! ;)

I have absolutely zero respect for marketers who spin their articles. First of all, it shows a total lack of respect for your craft. But more importantly, it shows a total lack of respect for your readers.

And when you write articles, your readers should always come first - always!

Yep.. besides, it is not that difficult to rewrite a bit of your information from various articles, with new info to form a new interesting article. What does "spinning" mean? And "craft"? Huh?

Hi, David - yes, British, Scottish ... hmm, this could start a whole new feast of fun! What gave me away??

I knew it! What gave you away? You used words like shoals," and "rich pickings." Also, you used phrases like "feast of fun." Americans, generally don't use those types of bloody phrases. :D

Did you ever get to meet MaaMaw?

I'm assuming you're referring to Lesley Fountain? I'm familiar with her, but no, I've never met her. I've never met a lot of people - but then again, they haven't met me either. :D
