I am really excited as we head into 2010 as the internet is simply brimming with opportunities right now! I've been doing a lot of planning for the year ahead, and people have been asking me for details- especially on the editorial calendar I've been working on for my blog.

I put together a quick 10-page report that you can download as a PDF file that shares those details and gives you a checklist that you can use as a guide for your own blog:

http://www.clicknewz.com/free/BlogBoost2010.pdf

If you don't yet have a blog, and you would like to set one up, I have a tutorial and checklist for setting up WordPress here:

http://www.clicknewz.com/1872/how-to-start-a-wordpress-blog/

Enjoy the download & have a fabulous week! :)

Oh, Lynn,

These are way cool! :)

Thank you.

Now I have to decide which to read first.

Since I already have several blogs, I'm looking forward to reading your calendar first. And then I'll look at your other resource, too, because I find I can get ideas from reading something even when I think I know what I want to know.

Thank you, Lynn. I've been trying to put together a calendar for my online and offline businesses and just glancing through "Blog Boost 2010", which I just downloaded, I can see more clearly where to place some 'signposts' to guide me on my 2010 journey. Getting my highlighter and pencil out for some serious reading :)

Wow Lynn,

that is a great blog boost!! I have been blogging for a couple years now and my blog finally took off this year. I am a seriously blog by the seat of my pants when it comes to posting. It never would have occurred to me to create a calendar ahead of time ~ but I can see the potential. I truly appreciate the milestones you mentioned for goals this year. I have yet to create concrete goals for my readership or guest posting ~ so I am going to spend some time this week getting some solid goals written down for this year.

I looked at the blog energizer calendar earlier today and kind of dismissed it. I have an IM blog and couldn't really see how it would be beneficial to me. I'd love to hear how you're going to use it with your blog!

Thanks for all you do!

Jackie

I am also bad to "fly by the seat of my pants" - especially with my blogging ;)

I am using Lynette's calendar (http://marketingright.com/2/14520qa/1108) to create topics and themes throughout the year. It's nice to tie into holidays and observances that people are searching for, and it gives a unique angle to topics too. Great for overcoming writers block because you can tie marketing into just about anything.

January is Clean Up Your Computer Month and Get Organized Month, for example. January 17th is Customer Service Day. January 11th is National Clean Your Desk Day. January 3rd is Trivia Day. Fun stuff to work with in our niche!

I checked out that site. Man, I'm wide awake now. Thanks for posting that, Lynn. Lynnette's calendar, plus the other resources on her site are exactly what I've been looking for.

Just ran over to check what all the fuss was about. Wow!! I'm more than impressed. I need so much inspiration and motivation right now. My seasonal job ended two weeks too soon this year, and I spent part of that in the hospital. I really need to focus and get something going online so I can breathe a bit easier. My blogs are just taking up cyberspace with nothing of value on them yet.

I will probably spring for the premium membership.

This is great!!

Is there premium vs. elite memberships?

Anita, bet you have more company than are admitting. I'm one of those. I need to figure it out and feel the heat of yearly 6 mos. hubby off, no extra money coming in, and never get ahead saving but spending on living not even high off the horse. I want more independence too and not ashamed to become the main bread winner with tons of money too. I want to be able to give to charities and people so I can help them by $.

Stay connected. We can all encourage each other and have the pros help us tons! I'm here to give back. It's a whole new world to me by tons!

Carol, there is only elite membership or the basic forum which we are in now.

Would be great to see you both join the elite group. Let me know if you have any questions!

Anita was referring to Lynette Chandler's premium offer, I believe ;)

Here at the SSWT Forum we have public membership, and then a private section for Elite Members.

Yes, I was referring to Lynnette's offer. I actually am a member of the elite group although, for some reason, it's not showing that I am, or letting me in.

I'm sure I've got plenty of company in the trying to stay focused group, :) I need to work out my priorities and then stick to them. I'd love to get to the point that I am the main bread winner as well. My hubby has no problem with that. He'd take more days off if I was! This guy works no matter what.

I have a few people close to me who I would happily help out! But first, I have to make myself set those goals and make it happen.

I think the first thing is to find someone to design my blog themes for me. I can't find a free template that suits my needs. I will decide that tomorrow when I get paid so I know what I can afford to do.

In the meantime, I'll make my list of goals . . .

Great stuff Lynne. I especially like the section on blog networking. I am certainly going to integrate that into my strategy for this year.

My download of Blog Boost 2010 is titled "How to Write a Product Review", and I've gone into Properties to change that but of course I'm not allowed to change it.

Thought I'd just tip you the wink Lynn.

Isha,
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. When I click on Lynn's Blog Boost 2010 link in the 1st post here the title of the PDF is Blog Boost 2010. Can you explain what happens on your end?

Angie, that was a year ago (March 2010). The wrong title issue was fixed.

Oh gosh, LOL, I just realized that. Sorry! There was a spam/moderated post in here today that I had to take care of and I didn't even pay attention to the date.
