Do You Use The WP Greet Box WordPress Plugin?

I have been seeing more and more blogs that have a greeting message on the front of their blog. At first I thought that I would need to add some code to my blog template to do this but just realized there is a plugin for it.

I don't use it personally, but have installed it for clients.

I don't have opinion one way or another on it. If it suits a need on your blog, or is something you would find beneficial, don't see any reason not to use it.

I've seen it a few times and thought, "hey, that's pretty cool," but I've also seen it greet me as a XXX user when I didn't get there that way and wondered why it thought that about me. LOL I've never used it on any of my blogs, but I have the What-Would-Seth-Godin-Do plugin that inserts a welcome message already, and I figured having more than one welcome message would be too much.

Hmm. Interesting. I never thought about using a welcome message on my blog before. I'm going to have to check that out.

Sure. It's in the Wordpress.org plugin directory, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/what-would-seth-godin-do/

You can set it to display a welcome message, and then an optional return visitor message.

I use the what would Seth Godin too plugin too. Love it, it lets you set a message for first-time visitors and a message for returning visitors so that's nice!

I like the WWSGD plug-in because it works with the themes I use. Sometimes Themes and Plugins are not compatible. Plus... it hasn't broken yet with any of the WP updates... this is not always true with plugins.

Who has time to look for a better option? Not me... LOL...

I don't use it on all blogs... and I should. It makes a great area to remind viewers to subscribe!
