I am frugal and have always used free keyword research tools. I have a few bookmarked that I use but would love to know your favorites. It might help me find something I am not using too!

Lynn always recommends using Wordtracker. I use that one plus Market Samurai which I purchased.

Stefani- what are the free ones you have bookmarked?
I've used the free one that Adwords offers.

I follow Lynn's advice and have been using the free Wordtracker tool you linked to above. It's been working like a charm for me so I'll stick with it. However I have heard great things about Micro Niche Finder so I would probably go with that one if I were to purchase a keyword research tool.

Stefani you'll notice that there are 2 main free tools
Google Adwords tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal)
Wordtracker free http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/
Many other free tools take their data from one of these.
Market Samurai takes data from google and many online sources take data from free wordtracker.
And yes there are good reasons to use the paid wordtracker or to to buy micronichefinder or nichehorde - using the free tools is enough to make you a pile of money.
being frugal is good!

I purchased Keyword Elite 2.0 and Micro Niche Finder. Returned them both. hahaha. Right now I'm using Google Keyword Tool and SEO Book Keyword Tool. Hoping to try out Market Samurai and NicheBot in the future when I'm confident with manual keyword research.

I always use Google Keyword Tool. It's free, easy in use and you
will exactly know which keywords are the best.
