You lead in telling them what you are doing and why. Instead, you need a strong headline, that gives them incentive to read further and/or participate. Appeal to them from THEIR perspective.

I agree.. I hate to say it but I think it is still true.. Reading your page.. I think What's In It For Me? or maybe a better statement is Why am I giving you that info and after I give it to you, what are you going to do with it.. I understand it is Breast Cancer and that is a serious issue but I still people think.. WIIFM....

Hi Lynn,

I am new to doing survey page, what is your suggestion for strong headline or any clue for me to follow on

I have a few thoughts.

1 - I think the topic requires that you establish a great deal of trust and prove your expertise before people will be willing to give up much information to you.

2 - I went to your 2nd page without asking a question of the first because I just tried. But many people may think they have to ask a question to be able to move on, so you may be losing a lot of prospects on your first page. You may want to clarify that. (Examining your site states will tell you whether or not this is an issue).

3 - Try moving your email address capture form to the top of page 2. People may click the links above the form and never come back to give you their email address.
