I have a question on #2, the video distribution... I took a look at that as a backlinking method but when I went to the video upload sites I couldn't find a way to leave my website url, what is your experience with this?

You leave the link in the description of the video, and it should be the first think in the description. Make sure you include the "http://" and not just www.xyz.com...

Have you tried tweeking subject lines? I've had an email list for years, and I found my open/ctr went up when I changed the subject line.

About #15 - Can't stress this enough. Blogs were meant for this, and Google publishes posts almost instantly. A well optimized blog post can have instant visitors from the search engines. It's almost like having your own broadcast straight through Google!

List is nice but I still don't know about video marketing. I have tried to search out relevant articles and blogs from where I could learn more about it but so far haven't had a great success. If some body could add a resource that would be helpful.

Don't forget about offline tactics. Invite people you meet in person to join your list.

And here's a good one that landed in my regular US mailbox last week -- A unique way to get website traffic (http://www.deniseoberry.com/index.php/2010/03/12/heres-a-unique-way-to-get-website-traffic/)

When you upload the video, at that point you get an option to submit your web link. When filling in the description try to place not only your URL but also the highly searched keywords on which you would like to have the rankings.
