I use GoArticles and EzineArticles exclusively but have thought about expanding to other article marketing sites. Which ones do you use and recommend?

I no longer submit to article directories anymore, because it's too easy for your article to get buried among the thousands of other article submissions. Instead, I submit my articles directly to select publications like SiteProNews and PromotionWorld.

That being said, in the past, I've submitted my articles to the following websites:

American Chronicle
Buzzle
Ezine Articles
Idea Marketers

Hi David,
Thats very interesting. Have you seen a difference in the behavior of the traffic to your sites? Better - worse?

Hi Joe:

Yes, using my method, I've seen a significant difference in both the behavior and quality of traffic to my sites. First of all, my affiliate sales have nearly quadrupled. Second, visitors stay on my sites much, much longer.

And last, the percentage of repeat visitors to my sites have increased exponentially.

Thats fantastic, I'll have to give that a try!

Joe, the idea wasn't mine. What turned me around was an excellent article I read by Mark Daoust titled, The Misunderstood Marketing Method (http://www.site-reference.com/articles/Internet-Marketing/The-Misunderstood-Marketing-Method.html). In his article, Mark writes:

"Instead of signing up for the latest article distribution program that promises to blast your article to a gazillion publishers that you may not even want publishing your article, choose one or two initial publications that you would like to be featured in, then work on developing a relationship with them."

The last two lines of that quote totally changed my article marketing philosophy:

"Choose one or two initial publications that you would like to be featured in, then work on developing a relationship with them."

And that's exactly the method I use today. I've established a relationship with a couple of select publications, and I submit my articles to them exclusively.

David - in places like you mention, do all of your articles get published? Are there strict guidelines to follow and an approval process that you wait on once you submit?

Lisa Marie Mary, I'm batting a thousand, so far. Every article that I've ever submitted has been published. Regarding guidelines, different publications have different guidelines. You just have to read the particular guidelines of the publications you're interested in submitting to.

And yes, there is an approval process. It's all up to the editor.

I use EzineArticles exclusively. It has consistently brought in click-through traffic whearas the others only a few clicks a month if any. It's so well known that other people will go there first to find article to reprint.

Here's another tip - If you can turn your article into a press release, submit to pr.com for free.

Softlan, When I click on the link it goes to a free version of copyscape, is this correct ? I have never seen this site before. I use Copyscape but it doesn't look like that. Did you buy this article ? Copyscape.com will tell you how many words are in the article that are the same in other articles if they are several in a roll (copied) and it will show you the article or site that they came from.

My favorites are Ezine Articles, GoArticles, ArticlesBase, Amazines, and Article Dashboard. I used to use Search Warp too but they did some changes and I haven't been back there since so not sure how that site is these days.

I use the following five:

ezinearticles
ideamarketers
articlesbase
goarticles.com
articlerich

They all publish immediately, except Ezines Articles and Article Rich, where I have to wait, maybe as long as a day.

I have tried Buzzle, but my articles just disappeared without explanation, and Article Dashboard took three weeks to accept my articles, so I dropped out.

I am going to apply for this and will let everyone know how it works out.

Article Alley is a good site too. Fast approval and a decent amount of traffic.
