You don't need to submit your site to Google but since you already have that's fine.

As for more backlinks, you can do a ton of things. I did a search on Lynn's Clicknewz.com blog for backlinks (http://www.clicknewz.com/?s=backlinks) and there are a lot of great blog posts you can read through for ideas.

Submit your RSS feed to the RSS aggregators.
Write some articles and submit them to the 100's of article directories out there.
Socially bookmark your site.
Submit your site to directory lists.
Comment on blog posts
Create a signature on your profile and participate in message forums.


That should be enough to keep you busy for a little bit.
