No apologies needed. To start a new thread, you just need to go to the main forum (http://www.clicknewz.com/members/forumdisplay.php?2-Main-Internet-Marketing-Forum) and click on the orange button at the top that says +Post New Thread. You can start a new thread for any traffic or other questions you might have about your business.
Does that help?

Welcome Michael,
Affiliate marketing is having your own business. It's just one model that you can use to build a business. As an affiliate marketer, you will basically advertise for others by promoting products to an audience in a certain niche. IF at some point you have your own product then people could become your affiliates and would then advertise for you.
You can see Lynn's Super Affiliate handbook review (http://www.clicknewz.com/2074/super-affiliate-handbook-review/) and also purchase it from that page if you so choose. It's best to get the digital version as you get free lifetime updates. I originally bought the hard bound book and don't get updates.
Hope this helps!

Michael,
You would get paid by companies in a variety of ways (some pay you through Paypal, direct deposit or by mailing a check to you). All companies are different.
Are you by chance an affiliate for Amazon.com? Depending on what type of music site you have and what you want to promote they might have items you can sell. You would promote products through your site throughout your content. Product reviews work well. It just really depends on your site and what you're looking to promote.
I think the handbook that I linked to above will really help you. Lynn is also coming out with her 1st book in Aug. so that is something you'll want to get on the notification list for at the Affiliate Starter Guide (http://www.affiliatestarterguide.com/).
Most affiliate programs will guide you on how to place affiliate links, etc.

Lynn, Hello - just read your Social Media Woman interview - great read - actually, the magazine is an excellent resource. I took your poll, however, I think you left out one category - someone who is mapping out their plan, researching and close to building an online presence - not sure how you would categorize this level, nevertheless, I do have one question. Although I don't believe an online marketers job of researching a particular affiliate niche is ever completed - I have assembled what I consider a great starting point, i.e. product(s), keywords, LSI keywords, domain names, competitive landscape - what the searcher is looking for, etc, etc. - I am in the process of building my content. Now for the question - finally right :-) My market has multiple products (affiliate products) - is it better to select individual products, group similar products together, or build a blog/review resource that covers products that searchers are searching for regardless of the number of products - within reason, of course?

Hi slbagley,
Thank you :) Glad you enjoyed the article in Social Media Woman this month!
To answer your question, build a site around a topic - not a product, or a merchant. Products change, get replaced by newer models, or go away. Same with merchants. Topics are evergreen and give you the flexibility to work with the changes in the marketplace.

Michael,
You're welcome, I'm happy to help.
Actually affiliate marketing (selling other peoples products) is one of the simplest businesses to do online if you work at it. As an affiliate you do nothing when it comes to boxing up and shipping products or customer service. That is all taken care of by the merchant, you just promote the products and get paid a commission.
As for the hosting, that has nothing to do with your business (music lessons) so I would not even pursue that because it's not relevant to your current business.
If you need more step by step help, might I suggest Lynn's elite mastermind group? It's affordable and is a very close knit community where we help with specific details of your business. There are weekly and monthly webinars where you can ask for input about your website, business questions, etc. Plus there is a free download area, social media club and more.
Two more links that might help guide you:
How to Make Money Online (http://www.clicknewz.com/2343/how-to-make-money-online-for-beginners/)
and you'll find some great nuggets in this starting a free online business (http://www.clicknewz.com/1679/starting-a-free-online-business/) post.
Hope this helps!
Hi Angie,
This is Michael Walker again. I just want to say thanks for anwering all of my questions. I'm just really new to doing business and business on the internet. Right now my business is just giving music lessons. I could branch out and do something else with in music like you said maybe sell products for somebody, but the only thing about that it seems to me there would be alot more work involved. I know people buy and sell stuff on the internet all the time, but I'm looking at it the old fashion way where you have to go out and box stuff and ship it and all that stuff. I was looking more on promoting somebodies products. Now how do I find these people who are looking for people to work for them on the internet; people that I can trust. You did mention Amazon. I haven't really worked with anybody other than the company that gave me my website just host. They say go out and send people to just host through my website and they'll pay me. I left a message on my website saying buy a just host website and I'm hoping people will and I'll get payed for it. But like I say I'm new to all of this and I know there must be better ways to promote just host. Talks about links and all that stuff how is all of that done? I mean can I post a little advertisement of theirs on the side of my website and when people click on it it goes directly to their website? I need to know how all this internet stuff works. Or what if somebody promotes music lessons for me how am I going to pay them? I've heard of paypal and I do have an account with them, but I haven't used it yet, maybe thats how I'll pay people. Ok Angie I'm sorry this letter is getting a little long. I do understand if you can't answer my replies all the time, but do appreciate any help you can give me.
Thank You
Michael Walker

Hi Lynn,
I picked the first choice because it is closest to the right answer, which is that I am absolutely a beginner. I am only just learning about online business. I have a domain and a blog page but still haven't done much. I have not yet started making a list, and I have a few niches which interest me and having a hard time picking one. I am at the beginning of a huge learning curve. Then again, I love learning stuff, because it keeps my mind young. ( I'm 61 btw )

It gives me more hope after seeing some of your answers! I see I fall into the largest category, that of moving forward, slowly, but still making progress.
I have been enjoying the learning curve, but sometimes been frustrated over how slowly things move, which I am sure most of you could say as well.
My biggest stress out was the fact that I understand that it will take some time and investing before I see returns, but my husband gets a bit impatient when he sees money going out and none coming in yet. So now and then I have to reassure him that I AM making progress, however slowly it may be! :)
What are your biggest expenses, and where are you currently seeing your best returns?
I look forward to getting to know you & brainstorming with you! :)

If not, you'll find it here: How to Choose a Niche (http://www.clicknewz.com/2281/how-to-choose-a-niche/)

Wow Lynn!!
This is a great site!! I am so glad I found this. I have been reading various articles of yours for the past few hours. I wish I had found this site before spending an arm and a leg on a course. ( well, two arms and a leg-and-a-half, considering my current budget )
Thanks for your reply above. I will definitely go through that niche choosing exercise. Before doing that though, I could tell you that my choices so far are: 1) I could write ebooks, or other material about spirit / consciousness / etc... 2) I could sell music, as mp3 download albums on Amazon, or actual CDs... 3) I could write about vegan recipes / green smoothies / healthy yummy food... Now to see how I feel after doing the niche choosing... maybe there will be other possibilities, or maybe I will pick one of those.
Anyway thanks again for the great site. Now off to the exercise. :)

I'm doing OK, but should be doing better. I've made a couple bucks, but need to tweak things to make higher percentages. I'm using Amazon affiliate (for the reviews) and google adsense (info articles) for generating profits. I'm getting a few hundred clicks/month for Amazon, but only about 1% conversion. As for adsense, the CTR is below 1%.... I realize every site is different for these things, and I know I need to experiment more. I just don't really know where to start.

Welcome Deanna! Here is a great blog post by Lynn on how to choose a niche (http://www.clicknewz.com/2281/how-to-choose-a-niche/). Once you read that let us know what you think. Happy to help brainstorm if you want to share your ideas here on the main forum. If you prefer not to share publicly Lynn has an elite brainstorming group (http://www.clicknewz.com/members/payments.php) here that is not searchable so you can freely work on ideas on the 'inside'.
As for my personal opinion on choosing a niche? I would choose something that you enjoy or have an interest in to start. It will be much easier to build a niche site/blog around that as a beginner.

Hi Crown,
I focus on organic traffic, which means using SEO to properly optimize content and also sharing via social media channels. What are you currently doing (besides PPC) to drive quality traffic?
The more you blog, the more the search engines will crawl your site (their frequency will ultimately match yours). Also, the more pages you have, the more high rankings you can potentially have - broadening your market reach, if each page targets a specific keyword phrase.
Let me know where you need help in all of that.

Gah! I'm having one of those days when I get frustrated at how slow things move..I've come a long way since I started last year but I think I'm missing something. My Alexa rank keep getting better every week, I got into the high 300,000's then it just started dropping like a stone and I'm in the mid 500,000's. I have no idea why. I feel like I have to herd people to my site from facebook and twitter and if I don't constantly stay on social media, then my visitor count goes way down. *Sigh* I try to bring value and great content in my niche but I make pennies a day in revenue. I won't give up, I'm just frustrated and need to get a little guidance, I think.

First, Alexa is a meaningless metric, so don't waste time or energy worrying about that one - or PageRank either. Neither are accurate indicators and are just meant to drive you nuts. LOL.
Are you doing any SEO, for passive natural traffic??

Thanks for the welcome!
I've been using my Alexa rank as a measuring stick for my progress, so to hear it's not that important is a relief = ) I'm doing some things for SEO like linking to my own pages, using keywords and phrases & linking to other websites.
I also comment on other sites that pertain to my niche. I have giveaways and post those on sweepstakes/giveaways sites to bring in traffic as well. And I'm using a theme that I purchased that is supposed to have built in SEO. I do have one or two phrases that I rank really high in search for as well.
I started another site that is in my niche but in a broader version of it and I linked both of my sites physically and I also use them to cross promote posts.

You'll want to target very specific (longtail) keyword phrases, and get quality relevant backlinks to each optimized page.
Here is a tutorial to help you start getting free, organic traffic on an ongoing basis:

Start there, and then start a thread in the main forum if any questions come up. :)

Hey, Lynn!
After a bad year of being sick, sick, sick, I'm getting back to building a business. You helped me so much back then when I was Elite for just such a short while, I look forward to joining back in, very soon!
I have been wondering about using Pages vs Posts with WordPress.org? Or even a Page for Posts? (for anyone wondering, this is in your WordPress dashboard, under Settings, and then Reading, and you can set a static home page)
Is there really any good or bad in using any particular set up for most of your website's content?
And if using posts for the majority of your content, can comments on them affect your SEO negatively?
The past year I had lots of time (mono back and forth) to think about how I want my life to turn out, so instead of doing a website on weblifetoday, I'm doing one on quitting smoking, caffeine (which I have done now for the past 5 months) and now on to lowering my cholesterol and getting my 19 year old waist back.
I can write about that for ever, as well as what it can turn in to with my love of cooking and grocery shopping.
This pages vs posts thing though has got me wondering, though. Do you have any take on it at all?
Joel

Great to see you back, Joel! I don't know how I missed your reply - sorry about that.
To clear things up, anything that resides on it's own URL is a "page" in the eyes of Google. So a single tweet (which has it's own URL) is a web page. That said, you want to determine what would be best for your visitors - those that land on your main page - and design from that standpoint.
Comments should be moderated. I recommend activating Akismet and also setting it so that any first-time comments are moderated (held for moderation). After that they're comments will automatically be approved. That's in the discussion section of wp-admin. Spammy comments could cause merchants, advertisers, and even Google Adsense to drop you from their programs.

Hi Lynn: I just joined your Elite group on the 1st and am very pleased with what you offer. I like your idea of analyzing how I spend my time (mind blank for name right now.) I think it will scare me when I do it, but I am committed to succeeding.
I love to write and have a couple of books in the works. I'm working on products for what will be my main site, Embracing Life's CurveBalls (talked to you about that awhile back, too far back.) I've finished my book that I will use for a giveaway, Embrace Your Life...how to have peace in your life even when it feels like a tornado. It's around 60 pages. I'm waiting to get it back from the proofreaders and have the cover in the works.
My site will be devoted to the three curveballs I have experience with: grief, bipolar disorder, and paralysis. I have the grief book done but needs final editing. I'll be doing an ebook on each and will also do an audio, video, interview, and workbook. I've bought the domains so I can follow through with my theme. Embracing Your Grief, etc.
I plan to have weekly webinars with guest speakers and I've thought about forums, but that scares me because of the time factor. In fact the whole thing is a bit scary, but I think I understand pretty much how to do most of the steps now, i.e. setting up the different pages needed, i.e. sq page, etc. and uploading them and what to do with the images. I've found it very difficult trying to do things and not knowing exactly all that stuff. I find so many tutorials leave out a step or two that can leave newbies wasting days trying to figure out, feeling like pulling your hair out.
I know this will take a lot of time when I get it set up. I've been seeing all the stuff about Kindle and decided while I was waiting for my Embrace book to come back, I'd finish a book for Kindle. That was fun. Of course, that's being proofread now. I have some covers designed and saw somewhere about having buyers vote on a cover. I thought I might offer them the audio version for voting (and getting their name,)
I'm having difficulty with graphics, mostly transparent images, which I just learned about last week. I used Laughingbird Logo Creator to create the covers but haven't figured out how to open them in other programs or save them to the format needed for Kindle. (need to finish tutorials or email the owner.) Nothing seems to be simple the first time around. Can't wait until I've actually done all this once.
I decided to take the time to do the Kindle book thinking I'd make some money quicker and knowing that once I really get my CurveBall site going, I'll be too busy, at least for awhile. Perhaps not wise, but that's what I'm doing.
Loving your forums.

I can't tell you the number of gurus I have attempted to learn from and the number of "money making" schemes, scams and systems I have tried.
It is time to get focused and I am choosing to get focused with you. The quality of your training and your persona continues to shine brighter than all the rest in the internet universe. Please help this 60 year old find financial freedom and a road to an abundant retirement for my young wife and I. Good bye IM ADD.

Welcome Dezertdawg :)
The key is to forget the "systems", and start a business online that you'll ENJOY.
If you're up for brainstorming that concept, and your ideas, I can move this to a new thread and we can dig in. ;-)

Well, I've progressed from spinning my wheels to making some forward motion. I've had 2 sales, with less than 20 unique visitors a day. I can't tell you what a shot of confidence those 2 sales have made! It at least proves there's a market out there for this! If there's 2 people out there who will buy it, well then...
I agree that finding the right network of people to become visible to is the hardest thing. And consistency. And back-linking (groan). But I'm just gonna keep chipping away at it! Keep blogging, keep linking, etc.
The hardest thing for me right now is list building. There's still some intimidation factor about talking to people over email. I don't know why that is. It's not much different from blogging.
Does anyone have any suggestions for some good list building ideas?
Thanks, Lynn, for being such an inspiration to so many people!

Welcome Gweb, glad to have you here!
You'll find the posts on Lynn's blog in the email marketing (http://www.clicknewz.com/category/email-marketing/) category very helpful.
My best tip is to just do it. I use a lot of PLR for my mailings but I also incorporate my personal stuff into it as well. I don't leave the PLR as is. PLR is great for ideas too.

Hi Lynn,
I have a cosmetic online store for about 3 months now. At first it was for fun but now I'd like to make it grow. I'm a total newbie in online working world and still looking for some ideas and tips to be a successful online worker. I'm also looking for online jobs that can make money soon because I'm quite tired with my current job in pharmaceutical industry and have plan to leave it as soon as possible.
Thanks for the tips in your website and this forum. Hope they can help me find my way :)

Hello all: I'm so glad to be back. I missed a lot during the summer because I moved. Was just nicely getting settled when my dad was hospitalized and came to live with me when he was released. It took awhile to get homemakers in place but I'm finally working steadily again.
I caught the Brainstorming Hour when I was able. I am so pleased with the value of the Elite membership. It's one of the best investments I've made online. The group is so helpful. Although I haven't interacted a lot, I've been watching on the sidelines, and I'm looking forward to getting out of first gear.
I have worked on my book for Kindle and have it completed. I'm trying to change the cover graphic to reflect my description in the story and that's been giving me some trouble. I posted on here today and got some suggestions. My next step will be to listen to a couple of trainings again and get it formatted properly.
I have a good start on my blog to promote it. I don't have a sales letter yet but I'm thinking that when I get it completed, I could upload it because Amazon would be promoting it and then get the sales letter and my promotion set up. Or should I just get that all finished first?
I've done three variations of the colors for the cover. I'm thinking of asking for votes in exchange for an audio version.
As soon as I get this layering thing figured out, I'll upload the cover to get some feedback. I'm getting anxious, it's been a long time coming.

I started in 2007 and it took me a couple years to understand some things in the IM world. Then I started seeing small gains. Then things stalled with no gains but no real loss. Lots of revamps over the years and then Google messed things up. Still recovering. Settled in now and plowing ahead. Still lots of cultivating to go but in it's season, I should see the harvest.
Welcome Ocha :)
I would be interested to hear what you have been working on over the years, particularly with those minimal results and issues with rankings. Start a new thread here in the main forum if you'd like some help, or to brainstorm ideas going forward!

I truly feel that 2013 is going to be MY year! Just a few weeks ago Babble announced their top mom blogs of 2012 list and I was on it. While it's not a monetary reward or anything like that I really feel rejuvenated. This year I have plans to continue with my bi-weekly podcast that I relaunched last week. I also have plans of releasing a seasonal digital magazine with family-friendly articles from some amazing authors. I am also going back to my original intent with my website which is more personal blogging and less of free product reviews and pointless giveaways. I pray that through these three avenues I'll be able to attract advertisers.
My goal - which is going to be a lot of work - is to replace half of my husband's current income so that in 2014 he can go to a part-time job. How I'm going to do that I'm not sure but we'll see!
angienewton
December 12th, 2012, 11:27 AM
Alaina, that sounds great. Yea you definitely should limit the freebies and start getting paid for sponsored reviews, giveaways, etc. As for the digital magazine, that will be great for selling sponsored spots too.
Looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds for you!

Dear Lynn,
I have been taking video courses online for the past 5 months that have helped me gain a greater appreciation for how to make money online.
I feel this course has been extremely informative.
I feel I am just at the point of creating a niche and creating strategies to direct traffic to my website.
Even though I have not created a niche or website as yet I do not think I am spinning. I feel I am making steady progress.
But what I respect about you Lynn is your direct personal approach with people in looking over their strategies and offering them the benefit of your personal experiences online. This is one of the primary reasons I have joined your membership and hopefully in a short time I will be able to join your Elite Brainstorming Group.
Thank you Robitay!
I look forward to brainstorming with you in the private forum area.
If you have questions about choosing the right niche, or getting things set up, don't hesitate to ask!

I don't recommend traffic exchanges. You want to get targeted traffic and those that do exchanges are just doing it for one another and are not really your target market. Even if they were they are just there to click on sites. It's a vicious cycle:confused:
What are you currently doing to drive traffic to your site? I would highly recommend social media, guest posting, optimizing your site and blog posts and things like that.
You can find some GREAT tips that really work on Lynn's blog in her Website Traffic Q&A category (http://www.clicknewz.com/category/website-traffic-qa/).
Hope this helps!

I agree. You want to get in front of your target market directly.
Also see: http://www.clicknewz.com/3091/organic-marketing-strategy/
Traffic Exchanges are old school. The more organic and varied your marketing strategy, the better, particularly with current algorithms.

I have a question for the group. Some time ago I was a member of the private group and Terry and Angie helped me alot with setting up my blog. I dropped out of the private group because my husband was ill and I did not have the time to devote to the forum nor my blog. I like the way my blog is set up, and I have a few posts on it but here is my issue, I am not interested in the subject I chose: Online shopping tips and my favorite products. I have no desire to write product reviews. I find that I am more intersted in a personal blog about aging and staying healthy (I can still promote products I believe in and use).
I would like to keep the name BilliesFinds because its my ebay and amazon ID, is this wise or should I go in a different direction?
If I were to keep the name what do I do with the articles that I have on the siite? Should they be redirected and maybe put on a blogger blog?
The other day Jim Cockrum stated in his newsletter SEO id Dead, that kind of statement if I choose to buy into this, it makes it harder to do the work of a blog.
My blog is http://www.Billiesfinds.com

Hi Billie! Welcome back. I would just keep your blog name and not worry about it. You're going to optimize posts and pages not the domain so I wouldn't worry about it.
SEO is not dead lol If you do it correctly, it works.
I would keep your blog posts, just file them under appropriate categories as you go along. Just start writing about the things you want to write about.
Hope to see you back in the elite forum for more in depth brainstorming.

I agree with Angie. And for SEO to be dead, all of the search engines would have to... disappear. :P Just start blogging on the topics you want to focus on, they are still tips & products (ie "finds"). And be sure to target the keyword phrases people are searching for related to your topics as you write.

Hello everyone!
I am Alex, and one of the new members of the website! Being accepted here happened at a perfect time for me as I am getting discouraged with my businesses. I am a beginner who has made many many mistakes so far and is learning from them, but right now I feel I am stuck for I don't know exactly what to do next.
In September last year I purchased an affiliate course from another person and I also paid for somebody to create a whole niche website for me with article spinning, etc. As you can imagine, I invested quite a lot of money with a wordpress premium theme, article writing, keyword research software, and more recently with link building, but all of my 5 websites are not getting any traffic (around 1 or 2 visitors a day) and I had ZERO sales so far.
I am pretty sure my first mistake was to pick the wrong keywords and one thing is leading to another. On the other hand, I am confident I can still fix the websites and start to make some money, because it's been "only" 4 months I own these websites.
I am hoping to get lots of advice from you guys and from Lynn, and maybe contribute with what I have learned so far. One thing I can say for sure: I am not afraid of failing and learning from my mistakes, and I am also very persistent and enjoy educating myself on what I do. I have no marketing background or similar, but I have been listening to many podcasts related to internet marketing, because I want to succeed really badly in this business!
Sorry for the long post, thank you guys for your comments!
Cheers,
Alex

Content Marketing is a great investment in your business. Writing articles for article directories is a bit "old school" when it comes to marketing via content, just FYI. Just keep in mind that you want to reach your market with a relevant message, something they're searching for, and give them the answer to their query. Serve your market, offer value, and lead them to the "next best click". :)

My best advice is to join Lynn's membership section here on the forum. You'll get her Niche Success Blueprint product that will take you step by step in the RIGHT direction. You'll want to focus on one site to start, bring it to profit and focus on growing your following with that site. Choose something that will be profitable, FUN and rewarding to work on day in day out. You also get her other products as a member plus TWO weekly live brainstorming sessions.
Lynn is a great teacher and mentor so I would highly recommend you join us (http://www.clicknewz.com/members/payments.php)! She has her special still available it seems, you can't beat 1 year for $260. Great investment:)
She has been my mentor (and friend) for many years. I'm also her assistant so I know personally the value she gives to others. Hope to see you on the inside.

Hi Lynn,
I've been around the block and back since getting started trying to MMO. Like a lot of people, I've bought a fair number of courses and haven't really got anywhere. My main obstacles were not having any budget and a lack of any particular skills.
Now, I have found a "mentor" if you like that feels right for me. Importantly, we are in the same country which really helps with communication. Also, you won't find him advertising with any flashy sales pages, ridiculous profit claims, photoshopped paypal statements, etc, etc.
He has over 20 years experience of IM and is coaching his own methods of Affiliate Marketing, which involves a lot of research which I have never seen before.
His emails are very informal and sets us tasks to do. I feel that I am on the right track to develop a complete online business, not just various money making schemes.
That's where I am today :D

Hey Lynn,
I've listened in on many of your webinars and have followed you on social media for awhile now. THANK YOU so much for your helpful posts and all the great info you share daily. :)
After all the Google updates...Panda, Hummingbird, etc...my income has been on a (very) steady decline. Before, of course, I was doing awesome. I'm sharing that in my (still upcoming) eBook. YES, It's still in the works. However, much of (this year), I've been at many stalls with the completion of it. It's about many fast and free ways newbies can make money from home. Also, sharing exactly how I made money before all the Google updates.
The beginning of the year, we lost my Dad to a bad heart valve...and a ton of things have been going on (one right after the other) this year. It's been a REALLY BAD year for me!
So, yes...been spinning my wheels through this year and struggling to get my eBook done. It WILL get done! About 3/4's of it done so far. My motivation has been non-existent. However, trying hard to stay positive. I'm also trying to expand my reach with business associates and friends through social media. ;)
That's where I'm at now. ;)
I can't believe it's almost October!! lol

I can relate Tammy - this year has really flown by, with a lot of sidetracks here as well. Regarding the Google Updates, see: http://www.clicknewz.com/12713/are-blogs-dying/ In addition to that, people are simply using search - and the web in general - differently now than they were before.
What is the topic of your book? I'm curious how your past successes (that cannot be duplicated currently) are relevant. Sounds interesting!

Thanks for your reply. :)
My book is about... (copied from above in my post)
Many (actually 21) fast and free ways newbies can make money from home.
I read your post about blogs dying. Very interesting. I have (3) blogs, however, I have not had the time (or motivation) to actively do up posts on them this year.
About your post though, what I plan to do is keep my blogs AND my Facebook and Twitter presence going so I'll have both bases covered. (That is after this eBook is complete and out on the market).
Oh...there is a specific reason why I've procrastinated on the project for so long. It will be revealed in the book. I have a procrastination page.
Thanks again Lynn! :)

Lynn Terry,
I selected the third option but I actually fall between 2 and 3. I am actually moving forward but not making loads of cash - not so much.
I just started in August, but I am very grateful for the 1 client I have and the income I receive from working with her. (plus I'm learning some new things too)
This month I'm pushing myself personally to get out from behind my screen and actually interact with my audience. It's scary but I'm meeting some lovely people. It's kind of fun too.

Good luck Sara, I think it may need to take some time until you will see significant progress. https://imagicon.info/cat/6-4/1.gif

That's great, Sara! Congrats on starting your business recently. :) If you want to brainstorm ways to fast-track your business and income, start a new thread and let's brainstorm! ;-)

Thank you, Lynn Terry. I will take you up on that. By the way - good post on Fear. Definitely a common topic many share.

Yes, I think so too. I'm actually a lot further than I have been in a long time. I just need to build a support network for when my fear kicks in and stops me in my tracks. It's not that I am expecting it, but it has been my pattern for the past 15 years.
I am SO over living my life this way.

Loved your video on the fear of failure. :D
I got started with affiliate marketing too years back. Didn't go well the first time around. Now I'm working as Content Marketer at a Search Marketing Agency in Toronto.

Hi Lynn,
Presently I would say "spinning my wheels" on the new venture as you know from my other thread about it.
With my other business The web design one) that I have been running since around 2000, it is feeling more and more like a time sucking hobby rather than a business as clients seem to want a lot more, for a lot less. That is why I am trying to change my focus to the new business.
I would love for both to work, the web design part I do like doing when I have good clients who want to follow through with things and not just expect it to work without putting in either the time or the money. And when it's had spurts of being good it does help pay the bills too. As an ex web designer (from memory) was there anything you did that helped bring in better clients. I know that you being US based you had a bigger market than I do, but surely there is a way to get more clients here when statistically our small businesses are one of the lowest dedicated website up takers in the western world (still less than 50% of Australian small business owners have a website!).
I don't know.... do you think the web design part is still worth pursuing or should I just solely focus on the new venture?
Cheers
Ian

My business is doing much better than it was, but I want to be independent. I still have to have the outside sources to take care me or I have to start another business.
