There are times when I have to find out some things really quick and it is hard when you have to search for it on google and still have to click the results to find out what you need. Well there are a few Google tricks that I found out just recently that I thought I would share with you guys. You still make use of the search box BUT this time you get the answer to your query right away.
1. Finding out the time. The quickest way to find out what time it is in let's say Zimbabwe is to type in Google search box "Zimbabwe time" without the quotation marks and Google will give you the time
2. Currency conversion - in the search box write "convert 5,000 pounds to us dollar" without the quotation marks and Google will do the maths for you.
3. It is the same with other measurements - e.g. convert 500 miles to kilometers

I'm always amazed at how much more Google is than just a search engine. Here's a couple more tricks for you:
1. Use Google as a calculator - want to know how many $29 products you need to sell to make $5000 a month? Just type 5000/29 into the search box and the big G will tell you
2. Want to find forums in your niche? Just type in your keyword and then select the more search options link below it - a right sidebar will appear and you can select discussions from the list. You can also use this sidebar to look for posts published within a specific timeframe

Here's another one if you need ideas for articles or blog posts. Put your keyword in and then click that show options again. Near the bottom of the list that appears select Wonder Wheel. Your search results will now appear along side a sort of mind map of related searches. Keep clicking on the links to drill down into the search terms and find some long tail or LSI phrases to target.

Claire, I really love the use of the keyword+more for searching for blogs in your niche. I had never even noticed the more button. Thanks for this great tip.

I use this a lot because I pay a lot of stuffs in US dollars and I need to know how much (more or less) it costs in my currency. So the easiest to search for
100 USD in MYR
You can also do a lot of other conversions like
100 meters in feet
345 km in miles
100 celsius in fahrenheit
85 kg in lbs
go try them...
