Best SEO, SEM and CRO books

Hi all,

It gives me great pleasure to be here again. I want to upgrade my SEO, SEM and CRO knowledge. I thought of buying some interesting books on the same. However, I am not aware of the good books in the market. I looked up Amazon.com recently. I came across a popular book but I didn’t buy it. I wasn’t totally convinced. Has someone read any good books? Are they worth buying? I really want to improve my knowledge. Can someone recommend some great books? Please let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. The problem with buying printed books is it takes forever to get a book published. Things are changing so fast. By the time the book hits the shelves it is probably out of date.

Google's SEO guide is a decent place to start for a beginner.

Other than that, there is a LOT of free info to be found. I probably would stay away from buying much.
