My homepage is not being indexed by Google

Hey guys,

My site is indexed in Google. But I changed my homepage a couple of weeks ago and Google has not updated the listing yet. Can anyone tell me how to get it done?

I have tried republishing the sitemap after updating the blog to a future date, writing a new post and registering in more directories.

What else can I do? Does anyone have any idea? I am in a hurry to get my site rankings up and this is affecting my chances. I appreciate all the help you have to offer.

How long are we talking about here?

I have sites that Google visites every 2-3 days and other sites that get visits once over 2-3 weeks.

My advice would be patience.

You can try doing some bookmarking or other linkbuilding to the site to hope that Google gets there faster. There are no guarantees though.

5 weeks ago I put up 4 small blogs. 3 of them were indexed within 2 days of putting them up.

The 4th blog is still not indexed.
