Mentioning Special Offers in Main Forum?

I just wanted to check on something....again;). I was banned at the Warrior Forum for mentioning a WSO on the main forum. I never saw that as a rule, so I guess I just missed it. Anyway, is it alright to do it here for special offers?

Actually I was just asking if it was OK to mention that I had put a special offer up on this site, though yes, it is in the private forum area. I don't want to break any rules by telling folks in the public forum who might also be Elite members that there is a new offer up.
