How long time does it take before the traffic start coming to your site through example google ? My ad have been approved, but there is no traffic.

I have a ppc on MSN too, and there is no traffic there either.
Is it usual that it takes a few days from the ads got approved to the traffic flow through the ads ??

Thank you for answering

Kim

Hi Kim,

Unless you're really serious about studying PPC, and have ample funds to experiment with (ie. money to lose while you learn) I'd suggest shifting focus to getting free search engine traffic.

Here are a few questions for you:

- are your key phrases getting searches (did you check with Google Keyword tool or Wordtracker)? Let's say you are bidding on "green widgets" but no one searches for that specific term, you won't get traffic from it, unless you have the broad option ON, and the you need to be really careful not to lose a lot of money.

- if your phrases are getting enough searches, are you bidding enough for your ads to show?

- and last, but not least, is your add inviting clicks?

I have a series about PPC with Matt Levenhagen a while ago, and you can see it here, if you'd like: http://www.myonlinebusinessjourney.com/131/is-google-adwords-tracking-important/

Look at the traffic estimator and see what the expected traffic is and make sure you set your bids high enough for your ads to show.

DO NOT GO INTO PPC WITHOUT THOROUGH TRAINING!!!!

PPC stands for Pay per Click. It is an Internet advertising model used on websites. For PPC, keywords are very important. For wrong selection of KW, the site has to pay the consequences.
