Hi,
I began with internet marketing at the end of July. I have so far got up a squeeze page with an opt in email box, free gifts and follow up emails.
My question is if you were a complete beginner starting with internet marketing in August 2010, what strategies would you use for maximum results?
Kindest,
Joe

I would begin by defining my expertise, my market, determining where my market "hangs out", writing a list of 12 possible titles for articles, develop a resource box, posting the articles on Ezine Articles and Idea Marketers (if those were the only two I was using), make sure the articles are categorized correctly, develop a blog, post on the blog using keywords, post the permalink with a bit of info on the post on Twitter, Facebook and specific groups in LinkedIn that allow you to do so, use my first hour of the day to monetize my business (which means no checking email for the first hour), committing to a minimum number of hours I will focus on my business and being very aware if my time is being used for productive tasks or time suckers.
That's what I would do........

Now you can take a breath Kathleen. :)
Joe your first step would be to put all those tasks together in a plan so you can focus your effort and make the most of your time. Here's a good post from Lynn that will help you.

(I hope I got the quote right..)
Yes there certainly is a lot there!! :)
I'm very grateful of you both to take the time to lay out this strategy for me. As a newcomer I want to get started with a plan and this is definitely going to help.
At the minute I am thinking of focusing on social media for offline local businesses whilst learning to drive traffic and finding a great niche.... then progressing from there.
Thanks again,
Joe
