Does any one have any feedback or experience with whether you get a better google ranking based on the website program you are using.

I've posted an article on my blog which is a subdomain of the domain that I posted it on as well.

The blog post seemed to show up faster in google and is ranked higher.

I also have some mini page sites I thought maybe I would install wordpress on it to see if it works out better.

My main site uses joomla.

Comments appreciated.

I have not found that the web design program makes any difference. It's all about the keywords and SEO when it comes to ranking well in the search engine's.

If your site is custom-coded (and badly done) I suppose it could make a difference. WordPress is known to have clean, logical code, with things right where the search engines expect them to be, so that makes it easier for them to index. I have to imagine any commercial code such as Joomla or Drupal would be the same.

For some reason, I've always found Wordpress blogs much easier to rank than any other type of website. That's why I now use them for everything. I even found sales letter and squeeze page themes for Wordpress. It really is a "one-stop-shop" when it comes to being a webmaster.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I've actually taken a couple reviews from my main site and placed them on the wordpress site. I'll update you to let you know if they rank better.

No WordPress isn't necessarily automatically better than any other program for rankings.

However, it is easier to optimize quickly when compared to coding a site from the ground up.

Well my wordpress blog still seems to be beating out my joomla webpage. I'll have to wait more time and see.

Have you checked your HTML coding and CSS?
Also what about the on page and off page SEO?

For your information about joomla and wordpress, both systems come with no HTML and CSS errors but when you start customizing the templates it is very possible that you will make some coding errors.
i can only suggest that you should consult with a SEO person

Good call. Maybe the template I am using isn't optimized.

Yep, i checked both sites from your signature and they have 15 HTML errors each.
I like the articles structure and the optin boxes, but may i suggest that you "mask" the clickbank affiliate links?
