Trying to understand top ways on how can i use article marketing to promote affiliate products and can this method be used as a stand alone method to promote affiliate products.

As for article marketing being a stand alone method, I would say no.

Hard to be very effective at affiliate marketing with articles alone. You can't utilize your links that aggressively or the article sites won't except them...Catch 22.

You need a sight that you can direct to. (one link:)). Then get your articles out there, your page rank goes up, you get traffic and then you can think about people seeing your affiliate products.

Chris makes a good point. There's a lot of room for discussion on how the new algorithm will effect us as IMers. I feel, and my marketing guru at WCN tell me, that in the long run it will benefit those who produce well written articles with quality content and a minimum of self-serving linkage.

That's one reason I feel it's better to keep the internal linkage in the article to a minimum, then, perhaps in the bio, refer the reader to a website where they can then be exposed to more of your "marketing".

I definitely agree though that article writing is just one part, important though it may be, to a complete marketing system.

The best thing I think is that you don't promote the program directly with article marketing...

Use article marketing as a means to promoting and building up a solid asset for yourself (i.e. your own site), and promote the affiliate program through your blog or site.

Important: Build a list right from the start, so you can promote to them programs that they would be interested in over and over again.
