I'd appreciate your opinion on this question.

I've coded a redirect script so I can track all my marketing, and see what's working etc.

The tracking info should help me focus my efforts, stay motivated and so on.

But...

I'm wondering how the search engines will regard the redirect URL I'm using in my promotions.

As example, a forum signature will contain a link (within my domain) that redirects to another URL (also in my domain).

Obviously, I hope to build link juice to the destination URL, not the redirect script.

I know that everything SEO is kind of anybody's guess. Wanna share your best guess?

Is using a redirect link going to hurt me, in terms of rankings?

Thanks!

If your redirect url is a 301 redirect, it should pass the link juice to your destination url. Otherwise a 302 redirect can make a difference to your SE ranking.
