Can someone please guide as to how do i go about with specific reference to this site in getting backlinks

Just comment on the articles and get the backlinks but if I'm not mistaken this site is a no follow. It can generate traffic but not backlinks.

Sonatanna I'm not quite sure where technorati comes into your link building. You can get backlinks from any blog after all.

You might want to build up a list of good blogs to comment on and I'd find those in google not technorati.

I'd advise you get a variety of links - some dofollow, some from keywordLuv blogs and some fromCommentLuv blogs and others from blogs in the niche you are promoting and do not worry about whether they are nofollow or not.

Well i found out through http://opensiteexplorer.org that technorati is a very authority site and getting links from this site can give you a tremendous. It has an authority domain of 78 on 100 and have seen others getting backlinks from their comments but tried out the same but didnt work out and hence seeking guidance.
Further getting high PR pages is difficult

Well technorati is an authority site but it seems to me that you are using it to find blogs and then commenting on those blogs? Is that right?

Another type of backlink you can build pretty easily is a forum signature link. check out the rules here and have a look at how other people are suing their signature file.
