I have 2 websites and one is converting really well and the other is not.... I am trying to figure out why as the one that is not converting hardly at all is # 3 on google for my main keyword phrases that are very highly searched.

The one that is not converting well is Kids Chair World (http://www.kidschairworld.com). If anyone has any suggestions on what I should change, or add or do to help conversions I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!!
Melanie:)

Hi Melanie,

Is most of the traffic landing on the main page of the site, for one specific keyword phrase? If you look in your stats you'll see the top viewed pages of your site, and the top keyword phrases used to find your site in the major search engines.

I'm curious if the phrases are not converting, or if the pages are not converting.

How long are people staying on the site once they arrive? You want to determine if they're leaving through external links (traffic leaks) or using the back button to resume their search...

I'm no conversion expert, but I'm thinking your page design could use a bit of tweaking. The header area takes up most of the precious "above the fold" space and doesn't do much to lure the reader to a product. If the "Back to School Sale" headline were a link to a page of sale items, it might help. Design may not be your main issue, but maximizing what the visitor first sees is always important. I would make the header shorter and try to get more product immediately visible.

Wow - did you completely redo the entire site since the last time I looked? It doesn't even look like the same site! Either that, or I'm losing my mind -lol.

Love the new look!

Every time I go to your site I wonder "where are the beanbag chairs?" ... got any bean bag chairs!?!

I like it. I brings the visitor into the action now. Like I say, I'm no expert, but this site looks as viable as any I've seen. Possibly your conversion issues were with off-site marketing. I know safety is a big concern of parents with things they buy their kids. Possibly something prominent that makes parents comfortable with (or even eager) to buy would be a good idea. I think what I would do is study the leaders in your niche and compare the differences between their sites and mine.

In replies to this, I have yet to find a bean bag supplier, dropshipper. Can you believe it. Do you have any suggestions, I even use worldwide brands to find suppliers and I cannot find any for bean bags.

Yes, I did a couple of quick updates to clean it up a bit. Glad you like it and no you are not losing your mind.

Do you have any feedback on the stats for my site that I posted?

Thanks!

Hmmm dropshipper I'm not sure. I think there was an affiliate program in the PepperjamNetwork for LuvSacs. Although, those are gigantic bean bag chairs, expensive ones to boot, and probably wouldn't match your target market that are looking for kids chairs.

I had to go login to Pepperjam. They do have an affiliate program for http://www.beanbags.com/ and that same site has a B to B program, maybe you could call them and see if that's a good fit for you.
