hi everyone!
new here, and thought i'd drop a quick note to say hello!
if anyone has any tips on marketing for my etsy shop i'd love to hear it.
i'm also thinking about trying to make some money with my blog. i have NO idea how to do that -- so any and advice would be great.
i'm really looking to do as much for free as i can -- money is very tight for my family, and i would feel guilty taking money from the household budget.
anyway -- happy to be here and hopefully offer some advice to others!
have a good day!

Welcome D! Great to have you here.
I would love to see your Etsy shop and blog so I can get an idea as to what to suggest to you. If you don't mind sharing them, please feel free to post here. You can set up a signature file and link to it there but go ahead and put your links in the post so we can give you recommendations.

You have cute stuff and a nice blog Diane :)
Who would you say is most likely to buy your products?
Are you focusing your online time on getting your Etsy links in front of them?

Diane,
I love your crafts! The magnetic sticky note clipboards are awesome.
Anyway...some initial thoughts.
I would think about getting a domain name and moving over to self hosted Wordpress blog platform. Blogger is not always reliable and since it's really not your own blog (not self hosted) you have the potential of them removing it at any given time.
As for how you could make money on a blog, there are so many options. In a nutshell, Lynn tells you how to make money online for beginners (http://www.clicknewz.com/2343/how-to-make-money-online-for-beginners/). Another great post of hers is how to write a blog post (http://www.clicknewz.com/1993/how-to-write-a-blog-post/).
Those should help you get started answering your questions.
Oh and definitely set up a Facebook page, Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest accounts.
Looking forward to watching your blog grow and wishing you tons of sales!
