How much to set affiliate commissions

Hi All,

I have created a product that will be for sale at Clickbank soon. I am wondering what percentage to offer affiliates. I currently have it set at 50%

When I promote affiliate products I look for ones that have 50% commission.

Since this forum is full of affiliate marketers I just thought I would ask what you all look for when finding a product to promote.

Is there anything else you would suggest to me to help attract affiliates?

Hi Terrie,

Generally the affiliate percentage on clickbank is 50% sometimes 75%. I don't really look at the percentage when it comes to clickbank products, it's more about whether the product is good and if I can confidently promote it to my audience. I buy the clickbank products I want to promote and then I know.

The only other thing I would suggest is that some people offer great banners and affiliate extras for their affiliates. I think this is a great incentive and makes your product and affiliate program stand out. I'm not sure how they do this, I think there might be a plugin or something they use with clickbank to redirect affiliates to their sign up where all the extras are.

I just read an article about attracting affiliates that said the same thing. It said to provide banners and even pre-written e-mails that affiliates can use.

Guess I have to learn how to make banners now!

You could definitely include additional items in an affiliate package. Make their job easier and you'll get more and more.

Yes, I agree. So I created a page yesterday for the affiliates. I looked at some other affiliate pages to get ideas, plus what I already knew from my own experience. I think I did OK. Time will tell. The product is available now in the Clickbank marketplace. So, I'll see how it goes.
