I have a question for all of you out there.
How hard would it be to find an IM coach in my area? Reason I ask this is that maybe if I had someone by my side teaching me everything I would need to know about internet marketing, I think I may do better in the business.

It shouldn't be that hard. One thing I would look for when choosing someone to work with is there level of real hands-on experience doing what you would like to learn to do yourself. Many coaches are only experts at coaching, and many "Internet Marketers" don't have real world experience selling real products to real people (outside of the IM space). Just some things to consider. :)

I'm mainly looking for someone who's involved in the affiliate marketing area and doing very well at it.

I think it would be a challenge to find someone local who is successful at affiliate marketing who is also a coach.
You'll find that most successful affiliate marketers don't actually do much on a local level. And if they did, their rates would be astronomical. I don't know what you have to invest so that's all relative but you might look into something like Lynn's private brainstorming group (http://www.clicknewz.com/members/payments.php) here on the forum.
No it's not something local but you are not only getting hands on training and reviews, weekly/monthly webinars and more, you also get to connect with others who are in the same position as you AND those who are successful DOING affiliate marketing. All for only $37/month which is a steal.
Just wanted to throw that out there for you as an option. We have a blast on the 'inside' and everyone is welcome (well, those that are ready to take action with their businesses that is:D).
Hope you find what you're looking for!

The price went up? I know it used to be like $27.

Yes, it did. Used to be $27, it's now $37/month or $360/year. There is also a 6 month option.

I'm going to be running a "birthday special" to celebrate my June birthday, and lowering the rates back to the original prices over the next week (June 1-7), so keep an eye out for that - or check back tomorrow. :)
