Okay...
I understand I should submit my articles to top directories like EzineArticles.
I understand I should submit my site to the top directories like Yahoo/Bing.
...but what's the opinion after that??

I've heard I should submit to blog tons of top directories and rss feed directories for backlinks.
(is there a 'top' list of directories?)

Is that even beneficial?

I typically just submit to EzineArticles and do some blog posting with Comment Kahuna. Advice?

Actually you don't need to submit your site to Google/Yahoo/Bing. They will crawl your site, no worries. You can submit articles to article directories but these days guest posting on relevant blogs is a better way to go.

You can submit to directories in your niche too if you want.

I find that guest blogging, keyword research/SEO and social media interaction is the most beneficial for traffic.

Thanks for the input Angie...
I don't submit articles to a bunch of directories. I stick with EzineArticles only....

I just recently started hearing people talk about the benefits of submitting you blog to blog directories. It just sounded like a waste of my time...especially if they get crawled and indexed anyway.

I've done blog commenting (w/ Comment Kahuna)...but how are you finding bloggers willing to let you guest blog? Is that just good ol' knock on the door and ask? lol

Randall,
Yes, I'll usually just ask or other bloggers will ask if I want to. You can do a Google search for your niche and guest blogging in the search.

A couple of other ways is to find the top blogs in your niche (by doing a Google search for your main keyword phrase) or by just contacting other bloggers in your niche. Start connecting with those people on social media. You'll be amazed at the opportunities out there.
