I'm working on a cover for my Kindle book. I have 1-9 of Daniel Hall's Gimp tutorials but can't find the rest. I've sent him an email but no reply yet.

I'm trying to do some layering and it's driving me crazy. Hours and hours down the drain. I've looked online and just can't figure it out.

Angela Wills (I think she might be an elite member) has a course here: http://www.graphicsmojo.com/

It's not free, but pretty reasonably priced, and she knows her stuff.

RLeigh,
I'm not sure what Gimp is...even after a quick Google search. ;-)

But I'm pretty handy with PhotoShop. I've done a lot of work on the side with that for landscape companies. Feel free to PM me and see if I can help ya. ;-)

@RLeigh - You can try another elite member Caroline - she has some free tutorials I believe and specialises in GIMP.

Some years ago when I checked out Gimp I found it awfully difficult to use-- and I am actually pretty skilled at Adobe Photoshop. If you're on a Linux machine you may have to settle for it, but if you're on Windows, try Paint.NET, another free program. Paint.NET works a lot like a very early version of Photoshop. It has features like layers, clone tool and curves. I use it on my machines that don't PS installed. The learning curve should be shorter and a lot of Photoshop techniques can be used in it as well.

Thanks everyone. I'm using Caroline (elite member's) tutorials for Gimp and they're great.
