Has anyone ever had their Twitter account suspended?

I was using bufferapp to preload some tweets (all quality content) and they suspended my account. I can't really figure out what I did wrong...but it's taking forever to just hear back from them...let alone reinstate my account if they do at all!?!? Is it worth just setting another account up?!?

I'm not sure. I would wait and see what they say and if they don't respond maybe set up another.

Were you just posting those preloaded tweets or interacting on your Twitter handle?

I'd be inclined to just set up a new account right away - after all, what have you got to lose?
Seems pretty easy to set up multiple accounts on Twitter. Does the app leave a footprint do you think? Is that an app associated with Twitter Spammers?

Good question Martin...

I have no idea if it's associated with spammers. The app allows me to basically queue tweets...sorta like scheduling a blog post. I used it for a total of 3-4 tweets and then got suspended. lol I barely had enough time to figure twitter out before they shut me down. lol

Angie...I really have no idea how to 'interact' on my Twitter handle?!? I think I posted one or two things to figure it out...then setup a few tweets with BufferApp.

Do most people you use twitter for interacting?!? I kinda looked at it like it was a good tool to post quality content and get a backlink to my blog.

Hi Eileen - I have 3 accounts, I barely use any tho, I'm a bit slack, I mainly retweet. I'd def get another account, you'd be surprised when it comes in handy. I doubt you will have a problem getting your normal back tho, just keep pestering them!

Yes most people engage on Twitter, that's what it's for. You can feel free to see how I do it on my @angienewton and @newtonstravels handles. That is just an idea and I don't do it as much as a lot of other people.

I actually ban and/or unfollow those who only post links, retweets and the big one that annoys me is those who post quotes lol

Twitter in addition to Facebook has been one of my best tools for engagement (and paying sponsored posts, brand opportunities, guest posts, etc.). Use the search and hashtags (for example #travel #fitness) to find conversations in your niche and jump into conversations.

Yeah! Twitter said the suspension was an accident.

Angie - I got your tweet! So much to learn! lol

Did they apologize? I use Buffer sporadically and so was surprised tolearn that Twitter had suspended you and am glad to learn it was a mistake. They should have never suspended you as all Buffer does is , is post tweets at several different times( which gives better dispersion of the tweet)I use it mainly for retweets.
